Police in Miami Were Burying An Officer Day of Code Pink Protest

First there was the menacing claim broadcast on Spanish-language television that "someone might crack your head like a coconut." Next came three death threats. Finally, as the peace loonies recently piloted their Dodge Ram pickup onto SW Eighth Street, an angry crowd composed mostly of Cuban exiles spitting and wielding makeshift weapons ripped away a banner and chased them for blocks.
"It was mayhem," says 50-year-old peacenik Tighe Barry. "I took a right-hand turn, and there were hundreds of crazy people rushing us with poles that had points at the end."

Turns out the poles with points that Code Pink is afraid of are flag poles. Also, turns out that the Miami Police had a funeral for one of their own the day of the protest and Code Pink was looking for a confrontation. I posted another article about how Posada HAD ALREADY BEEN TRIED and found not guilty. The link to it is here:

If you know anyone in the Cuban community in Miami who may counter-protest again tell them about these articles so they can INFORM the media that Code Pink is not being forthright.

I guess Cuban exiles don’t like Communists.

This kind of reminds me of the day that Peta decided to protest KFC in Brownsville. They were shocked at the public response. I don’t think they have been back since. I suppose now that the “what ifers” will want to classify flag poles as weapons. Kind of sad that they didn't even know what they were.

The fracas at Versailles which received all the news coverage could have been avoided with better police protection, Barry and Benjamin contend. Indeed, Barry explains, they needed more officers. "Four cops, one bicycle cop, two cars that's all we got," Barry complains. I don't get it, I thought these guys were opposed to an oppressive police state where silencing protesters is akin to Nazi Germany?

It reads like they were running them off but not planning to hurt them because one officer on a bike was able to calm the crowd down.

Hope there were some wimpy pink-clad males (they're not worthy to be called men) running away from some long-haired Cubanas.

The New Times is a liberal bird cage liner that is given away for free in Palm Beach County. I expect the Miami version is equally valuable. An easy way to see if something is true is to read The New Times. If they ran a story about it, it isn’t true.

"I don't get it, I thought these guys were opposed to an oppressive police state where silencing protesters is akin to Nazi Germany?"I wondered about that myself.
I also marvelled at how stupid they were to go to that Versailles Restruant to eat. One can only imagine the fun that the kitchen staff had with their orders...but then again filth is a staple for cockroaches I believe.

Indeed, Barry explains, they needed more officers. "Four cops, one bicycle cop, two cars that's all we got," Barry complains. This is where I get angry. On the Saturday when only those police officers showed up, Miami Det. James Walker was buried. The decorated member of the domestic violence unit heard gunfire outside his wife's apartment and was shot dead by a thug with an AK-47. Walker was a hero who died at age 30. The cops protecting Codepink could have been paying their respects to a fallen comrade.
Ah, now I understand better about the "police were burying an officer" part of the title.

"This is a mafia town," Benjamin says. "Everyone is mucked up with each other in a conspiracy to support the violent, right-wing Cubans."Then take your magic act elsewhere, Fishcake. I'm sure the natives on Bora Bora might find you amusing.
