I think your right. Reagan would be nice right about now.
The thing that haunts me about this story is that the Russians are so secretive, why are they putting out a press release on a pre-empt?
O.K. I’m going to go lose sleep now.:)
Night, and see if you can find those 2’s.
I would be worried. If Hillary is elected President she will feel the need to assert herself so as to avoid charges of looking weak as a female. Obama will also try to appear to be not weak and inexperienced. Both will tend to choose a military option earlier than their Republican counterpart would for those reasons.
Thanks Man, I appreciate it.
It might be better overall if the saracens were to nuke the Russians first. Russia will have no qualms about ending the threat totally whereas we will dither and try to democratize some more arabs.
We are busily converting a bunch of that to HE cruise missiles.
I think Mrs. Clinton the one most likely to actually retaliate in force against a nuclear strike by the saracens. To her it would be like Bill being publicly outed for a particularly sleazy Monica type affair. It would be betrayal by her perceived allies and partners in the world and she would throw some nuclear ashtrays. Unless, maybe, Atlanta was the target instead of New York or San Francisco.
We are definitely living in Interesting Times.
Maybe we should retrofit our nukes with smaller yield versions; perhaps that would make them more palatable to use. We could name them after the Halloween candy that gets ever-smaller every year: Fun Size!
This is a pantload.
The Russians are using terrorism as a political cover for using nukes as a first strike.
You can’t hit back at terrorists with a nuke, which is why its called ‘assymetrical warfare’.
Somebody prominent on our side better be calling BS on this, very publicly.
Good point.
This is one of many things that bothers me about this election cycle ... they people running and the media reporting and interviewing have said nor asked much of anything in terms of foriegn policy outside of Iraq. There’s a big bad world out there with a number of potential flash points and / or crisis waiting for our next commander and chief yet our pool of candidates and the press (and general public, for that matter), nad turned a blind eye to it.
The smartest move the President would make would be ... do as thou wilt in the Middle East ... but spare Israel. we'll both pick up the pieces later.
Thanks for the links. They show you’re at least thinking of the future, and taking a look at the important things that pertain to it. Good for you. Now that our party has sold out it’s core beliefs, I think that’s a very good idea.
Trying to egg them on? They are too professional to respond to such goading.
The USA might not be involved in this. As an aside the USA can assemble four nuke warheads a day, not that there aren’t enough warheads already on station to eliminate any possible enemy forever.
