You’ve got that made-in-the-Senate “My Friends” jargon down.

Ever consider running for the Senate where, when they get done engaging in their theatrical battles for the Pipples benefit, they retire to the same Country Club for a collegial game of Golf or Squash. /s

When the debate turned to the Iraq "timetable" issue and McCain's continued lies about Romney's position, Romney should've turned to him and said:

"Senator, you like to talk about straight talk...well, here's a little straight talk...that's a load of bullsh!t...AND YOU KNOW IT."

That would've been Romney's "I'm paying for this microphone" Reagan moment.

No one here has ever made fun of the lamebrain's military service, but there have been a few jokes about his graduating at the bottom of his class. But as far as his political record goes,it is a joke and speaks for it's self.

I think when McCain told Romney that he started all of this with millions of dollars of negative ads in Iowa and NH. Romney should have said “Well senator, at least I didn’t have to lie”. I thought of it right then! Would have been a real zinger.

McQeeg:

My friend, my twenty years in Washington, starting as a foot soldier in the Reagan Revolution, uniquely qualifies me to bring about the changes we need.
After all - I have intimate knowledge of how things work as most of the things wrong in Washington are due to bills and laws I helped push through as a member of the Senate kissing up to democrats.

By the way did you know that I served in the military, led a squadron, wore a uniform, served in Vietnam?

A foot soldier? Hmmm...

Ballad of the McCadre

(Sung to the 1966 ‘Ballad of the Green Beret’ by Staff Sergeant Barry Sadler and Robin Moore)

Frightening senator… running sly
Feckless man stumps… every side
A man who schemes… for us to pay
The depraved dreams… of the McCadre.

Spinning things… he calls them “guests”
”These Aliens… are America’s best”
One hundred more… will cross today
But will he win… with the McCadre?

Trained to skim… wealth from this land
Ragin’ Moonbat… handouts demand
Mac says he’ll fight… by night and day
Courting praise… from the McCadre.

Spinning things… he calls them “guests”
”These Aliens… are America’s best”
One hundred more… will cross today
But will he win… with the McCadre?

In Washington, McRINO waits
His McCadre… have bet their fates
He has lied… for those obsessed
With giving them… our treasured nest.

Spinning things… he calls them “guests”
”These Aliens… are America’s best”
Twelve million more… will come one day
Ruling then… the McCadre.

Actually, that’s true. Cornyn (Among others) have first hand experience with the instability. I’ve seen it mentioned but only here. I’ve not seem a real MSM article about it.

BTW - McCains continued smirking was further testament to his lack of self-control, as was the fiddling with the Ball-Bearings - oops, meant his pen.

I believe that Ronald Reagan would NEVER have endorsed the likes of John McCain! In fact, Ronald Reagan would most likely have endorsed Fred Thompson if Fred had a chance to be our nominee. As it is now, and considering the options, I believe there is no doubt that Reagan would have endorsed Mitt Romney. My first choice was FRed, but I voted for Romney yesterday. Folks who stay home, vote for anyone who already pulled out of the race, or vote for Ron Paul or Huckabee, will give us McCain as the nominee and Hillary as our President. Can’t you see the smiles on all the MSM folks when they get the go ahead to unleash their facts about McCain? It will be non stop and get ready for President Hillary Clinton! I hope and pray that all real conservatives and moderate conservatives will look at the options and vote for Mitt Romney on Super Tuesday! Please realize that Mitt Romney is the next best choice!

I guess this is his way of trying to win back conservatives with his mention of Reagan. Sorry, but he has burned his bridges to the conservative movement one time too many to be forgiven this time. I really fear that millions of conservatives will not vote this time around for the GOP. Voting for the lesser of two evils will not be a good enough incentive to get conservatives to the polls to vote for McCain.

It’s really sad, when it becomes overwhelmingly apparent, that McCain’s whole presentation is really just a series of pre-selected and rehearsed sound bites that he returns to, over and over again. The whole foot soldier thing, the relentless dishonest attack on Romney’s Iraq benchmarks, the constant bragging about his endorsements, the incessant chanting that “I was there when we did this or that, and “I am the only one that can do this or that”, etc., etc.

And then bragging that he knows how to build a fence because he’s from a border state! Jeez, the issue is WILL you build a fence? Anybody can figure out HOW to do it. It looks to me like his being from a border state likely makes it LESS likely that he is going to do something about illegal immigration. He doesn’t even know what boasts not to make.

I’m seriously afraid we are going to end up with a president that basically has about a 6th grade intelectual level. It is downright frightening to me that such a person would be representing us in dealings with foreign counties, both friend and foe.

At least Romney seems to be a person of intelligence and discernment, and able to actually listen, learn, and adapt to situations on the run. He also can discuss and present complex concepts in a calm and persuasive manner.

Oh well, rant off.

He slipped up one time and called himself just a “soldier” or something instead of a “foot soldier” for Reagan.

Schwartzenkennedy was there and gave his blessing to McCain so they can collectively and in a unified manner support and uplift the democrats whom they adore and sleep with. When Giuliani came to California, he promised to run the country like Schwartzegger runs California . . . we are doomed if McCain get the nomination.

The only hope I see for Romney is if conservative were to come to their senses. I do not relish seeing the Clinton’s back in the White House laughing at us and mocking us. Hillary can easily knock off McCain. She’s way smarter than he.

I have not given up on Romney!
