Cool! At least it’ll be a happy place :o)
I’m thinking that you’ve hit the nail on the head - he really should be a democrat. I say this - what if you take away the ‘hero’ image of 40 years ago - what’s left to vote for? That would be like taking away Bill from the Hillary image on the other side - what’s left to vote for?
Think of McCain, no hero moniker; Hillary, no Bill moniker? I say, they would not be in the run at this time, period. Voting for McCain simply because he was a hero would be foolish at best. Voting for Hillary simply because shes the wife of Monicas ex-boyfriend, the ex-POTUS would be tragic.
I have not been pulling for McCain, but all of the GoP nominees really really suck.
Of all the slamming I have heard on FR about those who voted for him, I hear no one slamming the military and the veterans, who are in lock step with him. The FReepers are mainly blaming the independents and democratic party crossovers. That’s just not the whole story.
I say this as a military veteran.
Very well said.
So John McCain shows his true vile self and now Drudge reports that Nancy Reagan “adores him”??? Looks like it’s time to ship her off.

Good question. We will learn a lot about both parties this time around.
Juan has milked the POW status so much...it reminds me of John Edwards and his mill stories.
Good for you John and John. Enough already.
We respect his being a POW, but that is where it ends.
I’m not going to hold that against her, God bless her. She has an excuse. The morons like Rudy don’t get that pass from me.
Would anyone be surprised if McCain chose a dim for VP, and then switched party affiliation?
I have no doubt Senator Clinton would make a great president.John McCain
You are making a good point here. Any outbursts of anger will just make McCain look bad in comparison with either Hillary or Obama. And if McCain is defeated in November, as he surely will be if he gets the nomination, the MSM and the Democrats will crow about how this was a “defeat” for conservatism and for those who support the war in Iraq.
The guy is mentally unbalanced.
Thank you.
COOPER: So I just want to confirm that you would not vote for your bill as it originally was?
MCCAIN: My bill will not be voted on; it will not be voted on. I will sit and work with Democrats and Republicans and with all people. And we will have the principals securing the borders first.
Just remember ...you're a conservative first.
The Republican party has not always been friendly to conservatives.
.........Before The Storm
Don't forget McCain's trashing of the Swift boaters, calling them "dishonest and dishonorable" for their telling the truth about Kerry's record.
God Bless her, and I’m sure Ronnie loved her to death, but I don’t believe her “endorsement” could be construed as having anything to do with conservatism.
An Epiphany? John McCain Was For Benchmarks In Iraq Before He Was Against Them
