MCCAIN PICKS UP TED OLSON (NRO-CAMPAIGN SPOT)

JOHN MCCAIN

McCain Picks Up Ted Olson

Looks like when Giuliani made his endorsement, one of his key backers moved with him: Jen Rubin hears Ted Olson, former Solicitor General (and a guy mentioned in recent Supreme Court and Attorney General vacancies) is backing McCain.

I guess he's not worried about the comment in the Fund/Novak columns.

Ted Olson is a good guy. So is Tom Coburn. Both good conservative constitutionalists.

But they’re wrong in this case. McLame is not good.

but you’d say he would sell his soul if he endorsed the baby killing Romney, the pardoning Huckabee or cut and run Paul

Have you left the Rockefeller Plantation too?

If McCain is to be the nominee, let him do it with the Rockefeller Wing of the GOP. The Jell-O’s, Rino’s, Moderates, Independents and Hispanics.

I will not be apart of it.

Not going to happen....I wouldn't trash Ted Olson, I respect him.

I disagree with him, but I respect him.

I guess you’re trying to rationalize the inevitable McCain endorsement by FRed. By the way, he dropped out, and the possibility of a brokered convention is virtually nil, not that he would be a factor anyway. Get ready for a RAT president, one way or the other.

Have you been out the country? The Rockefeller Wing of the Republican Party has been supplanted with the Teddy Kennedy Wing of the Party that Jorge Bush established. Teddy WROTE and GOT more legislation put into law under Jorge than he did under Bill Clinton. And Johnny Boy McCain was there to co-sponsor any time he could. I TRULY believe that Teddy Kennedy would rather have McCain as President than Hillary or probably Obama. Teddy Kennedy of course cannot cross party lines to endorse McCain so he had his "girlie man" Ahnold who married his niece do it for him.

No trashing, however, here is someone who also supports McCain, and thinks that many in the GOP are psychotic:

What do you think of that?

Our Republican “leaders” are disgracing themselves in their quest for positions in the McCain administration.

At this point the upper crust is just jumping on the bandwagon they think is going to win.

You're supposed to kiss Romney's ring here lately.

McCain is all we have left other than a flip-flopping, baby-killing liar or a dem.

Yeah, why not? All our candidates suck. They really do.

Not a Romney supporter here, but, I lost respect for Ted when he jumped on Rudy’s ship. McCain is no surprise.

I not bashing McCain on a personal basis, I will bash any and all the United Senators who supported the treachery of amnesty and tried to shove it down the throat of the American people. I will bash his Senatorial brothers and sisters equally, whether it be Hillary, Obama, or the drunken homicidal bum of a Senator from Massachusetts.

I guess with mccain the bright light is that he’s so old he’ll only have one term whereas if anyone else wins they’ll go for 2

Texas Governor endorses McCain:

Gov. Rick Perry on Thursday announced his endorsement of presidential candidate John McCain. "Perry said he is backing McCain, because he is the candidate who would do the most for and win the war on terror.

He said having Hillary Clinton as a president would mean the country would be "going to hell in a hand basket."
