Read this article when I logged into work tonight. Maybe by the time I can crosstrain out of the Space Command I can be a crew chief on one of these baby’s.

Oh, in Die Hard 4?
This is the first military pilot to fly it....so the others were contractor test pilots.

-- A pilot from Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., became the first Air Force and government test pilot to fly the F-35 Lightning II during a test sortie at the Lockheed Martin facility Jan. 30 at Naval Air Station Fort Worth. A bit of good news to make one feel good about paying taxes!
Sure beats the he!! out of paying for tax rebates to illegals. ; )
The F-35 sure looks to be the aircraft of the future and a first class aircraft to boot.
I'm smiling along with the test pilot. : - D

Sure, with Lockheed test pilots. This is the first flight by a government pilot.

They look less and less like planes and more and more like spaceships.

That’ll look good with the red white and blue Thunderbirds paintjob on it... someday. :-)

"I have been smiling since arriving at the aircraft this morning and haven't stopped," he said. We haven't been doing a lot of this lately. It's still possible and that is a good thing.
