Islamist 'Trojan horse' in Pentagon, say experts

Federal authorities say a high-level Muslim Pentagon aide, who led a campaign to silence a Pentagon intelligence analyst for taking a hard line against Islam, is running an "influence operation" on behalf of U.S. Muslim groups fronting for the radical Muslim Brotherhood.

Hesham H. Islam, a special assistant to deputy Defense secretary Gordon England, recently criticized Maj. Stephen Coughlin, one of the military's leading authorities on Islamic war doctrine, for making the connection between the religion of Islam and terrorism.

After Islam lodged complaints, Coughlin's contract with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon was not renewed.

Islam also was upset with briefings Coughlin recently prepared for the U.S. military warning that major U.S. Muslim groups were fronting for the Muslim Brotherhood, a worldwide jihadist movement based in Egypt.

Islam, who was born and raised in Egypt, is heavily involved with one of the groups – the Islamic Society of North America, which U.S. prosecutors last year named as a member of the U.S. branch of the Muslim Brotherhood and an unindicted co-conspirator in a major terror-funding case.

Islam has persuaded his boss, England, to conduct various outreach with ISNA, including hosting the group's leaders in the Pentagon and speaking at its annual convention.

Why do either one of these people still have job, and why are they not in jail?

They do not call it the NEW WORLD ORDER for nothing... All is turned upside down and reversed... Like Alice through the Looking Glass. And we have the Cheshire Cat (Romney), the Mad Hatter (McCain), and Tweedledum (Huckabee) as the prospective nominees to the GOP ticket... And of course the Red Queen (Hilary)... and Obama... Wonder what character he should parody?

Short answer: See post 42

Long answer: Because PC, multiculturalism, tolerance, “compassionate” conservatism, “the religion of peace” ... and all the other DEMON-RAT/RINO indoctrinating verbiage has destroyed the idea of America and what it means to be American... while at the same time committing this nation to endless war against a fleeting enemy. They wish to pull the sliver from the world’s eye, while they ignore the log within their own.

WHat the frack is wrong with this country and our stupid government. they would throw us all to the wolves over multiculturalism!!!!!!!!!!!!

The thing that's wrong is the other component of multiculturalism: political correctness. Both are carefully constructed parts of cultural Marxism.

I've been saying for 20+ years that political correctness will destroy this country. It's a method of limiting free speech. It's carefully designed to stigmatize people who dare mention the pink elephant in the parlor. Joe McCarthy was an early victim of it. There have been many others.

Great article by Claudia Rossett in that National Review article...Helps to pull some info together:

1 This Hesham Islam was in the U.S.Navy for 5 years and worked with Gordon Brown...Brown was never in the Navy, he was a two time Secretary of the Navy, appointed by Pres GWB after recommendation by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld,,..Brown was a Former XO of General Dynamics, former Pres of Lockheed for 4 years..Now he is Deputy Secretary of Defense, under SecDef Winter, having brought Hesham Islam along with him from the Navy Dept..

2. Hesham H.Islam is a retired US Navy Commander after a 15 year career and after obtaining a Master’s degree in National Security Affairs in Monterey,Ca, after which he had assignments with the Chief of Naval Operations and the Secretary of the Navy at the Pentagon...He wrote his 139 page Master’s Thesis on the Middle East and based many of his points on the troubles that the Israeli’s caused in the Middle East...

Have a feeling that Islam is there to grease the skids for Brown’s business buddies while giving Brown the false sense of security that he has an inside track to the how the Middle East Arabs think.....wouldn’t surprise me a bit if Brown, Islam, SecDef Winter and Murtha were all tied together through corporate ties and a buddy system and that Islam has a great deal of input to influence them to see the Arab/Islamic side of things...also wondered if Brown has anything to do with the persecution of the Haditha Marines and after reading these articles i would give a qualified yes...

After one reads about the incident...then Hesham Islam’s spokesman in the last day denying a big spat occurred...you see some type of management chaos that occurred, and Gordon England is sitting there like a duck and basically doing little except avoiding public attention. My impression...since Gordon sign Islam up as his “special assistant”...he really was doing this as a favor for someone, and probably didn’t check out Islam’s credentials very well. All of these guys are supposed to have a very high clearance...which I would have serious doubts about now. If I were in the clearance investigation operation...I’d pull out this folder again and start reviewing his data closer...then I’d probably make a decision to give him anything beyond a secret clearance.

The only question I have with this article is whether anyone in this administration is actually doing anything about this dangerous infiltration of Islamists into the Pentagon.

Yes, ignoring it away, just the way that FDR and Truman (and to some extent Eisenhower) did with teh Communists in the government.

Wahhabists and other planted jihadists took lessons from the KGB concerning broad-based infiltration of our national security and corporate infrastructure.

Sorry, there will be no shining wizard upon a white stallion in this version of The Two Towers. Gandalf does not ride to the rescue in this epic. Mordor is not vanquished ...

The GOP is rife with Gollum-clones.

McCarthy? They broke the mold... and killed the mold maker, just to be sure. Only the “bought” obtain primacy...

Politics is no longer the field of statecraft... No, it has become the playground for billionaires, those whose only joy comes from obtaining the ultimate power trip ... another gilded trophy to display above their vain and cynical mantle.

Men of principle are long gone... they could no longer afford to play in the big sandbox...

Unless you think Ron Paul has a prayer.

Someone is taking a page out of the playbook of Fraklin Delano Roosevelt.

You hire the enemy, put all the people who want to destroy the country into positions of leadership, then leave it to conservatives to try and clean up the mess.

Throwing Sand in the Eyes of Decision Makers - by Andrew Bostom

...War On Terror: If there are any doubts that political correctness is hamstringing the Pentagon in its fight against radical Islam, look no further than the case of Maj. Stephen Coughlin. Coughlin, the military’s top authority on Islamic war doctrine, was pushed out of the Pentagon, where he worked as an intelligence analyst for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, after a high-level Muslim official protested his making a connection between Islamic law and terror.

Hesham Islam, a personal aide to deputy Defense secretary Gordon England, criticized Coughlin for telling a hard truth that could save soldiers lives and help us win the war against jihadists. But what really set him off, according to Washington Times Pentagon correspondent Bill Gertz, were briefings Coughlin recently prepared for the U.S. military warning that major U.S. Muslim groups were fronting for the Muslim Brotherhood, a worldwide jihadist movement based in Egypt....

...Unfortunately, Coughlin’s critical findings were too politically hot for Pentagon brass trying to make nice with Muslim groups at the urging of Muslim aides involved with them. So instead of the aides, he got the boot...

...To deny the connection between Islamic law and jihad, and exclude it from the U.S. military’s enemy threat doctrine, is to deny not only reality, but valuable information that could help soldiers fighting terrorists in the field....

The islamic groups behind the global jihad work like the old shell game... we become so misdirected looking for an Al Qaeda pea under one shell, while the Ikhwan (Muslim Brotherhood) hides its peas in plain sight. None so blind as those who will not see.

Expect more, much more, of this if America allows a Trojan Horse to be elected President.
