But why are people like Ann Coulter, Tammy Bruce, Michelle Malkin

They are wimmin.

They think Mitt is cute -- yes, even Tammy, which just shows the power of the mojo of the Mormon matador

They are mad at McCain for picking on him.

hee hee hee hee

I have spent some time in the rough and tumble world of business and have learned a few lessons.

You are hiring an executive and you have the following choices: a crook, a well meaning incompetent, or an loose cannon.

Take the crook. He will Steal half of the profits but he will leave some for the company so that he can continue stealing in the future.

The incompetent will slowly destroy the business.

The loose cannon will destroy the business quickly.

Hillary is the crook, Obama is the incompetent, and McCain is the loose cannon.

They say careful what you wish for...for a reason. I’m still scarred from the first disaster! The next one will make the first one seem like child’s play!

Provided the country will survive those 4 years.

I agree. I'm saying it appears more likely to survive him than the other two.

“Don’t you think the War on Terror is the most important issue right now?”

Not by a long shot! Our country is being systematically invaded by people with no concept of what our Constitutional Republic is about. They have only known corruption and are very accepting of it. When they are given amnesty there will be socialism on steroids to replace what we have known. Bye bye USA.

So the solution is to allow Shrillary to disarm the Rush Limbaugh’s with the fairness doctrine!

I never said anything like that. Your leap of what -- logic? -- amazes me.

Is this one of them, “Vote for my liberal over their liberal” threads?

[McCain-Feingold Act -- ] The worst restriction on free speech in this country since the Alien and Sedition Acts. And look whose name is on it -- as lead sponsor.

Exactly. McCain has earned himself a place in history as someone who championed the destruction of the republic. He is NOT a conservative candidate, and doesn't deserve our vote. This year we see clearly how party loyalty distorts political judgment. We must not be partisans -- members of a party -- but just vote conscience.

But that’s the alternative here, a true no win. You didn’t have to say it, I merely pointed it out!

“If we were running against say Truman or JFK I’d be game, but too much is at stake now.”

You are never going to get that kind of candidate from the dems, so every 4 years those of us that are growing ever more disgusted at the leftward slide of the GOP will hear, “too much is at stake now” please vote for OUR liberal over theirs.

Because there is no guarantee McCain won’t hold hands with those across the isle and agree to compromise even about the war and the troops. I don’t trust him. He’s double crossed too many times.

If Republicans vote for the Dem candidate, just to teach the Republican Party a lesson, the RNC is only going to think the country wants the Republican to be MORE liberal, and they will give us someone who is more liberal next time.

Neigh rather if Republicans vote for McCain Republicans will continue to feed us these establishment creeps.

We’re truly in a no win...on the one hand you have McCain that shoved McCain-Feingold down our throats, on the other hand you have Shrillary...and hubby Bubba that are fixated on the right wing conspiracy and silencing Rush Limbaugh with their “fairness doctrine”.

Those are the two front-runners right now...hopefully we don’t have to pick from these two but...

According to a genuine conservative, former Senator Rick Santorum (R - PA), John McCain impeded conservative initiatives in the Senate at nearly every opportunity.

How on earth did the Republican party end up with a front-runner who.....

1. Wanted to be John F’n Kerry’s running mate??....
2. Was a corrupt member of the “Keating Five”?....
3. Has been duped by the Euro-socialist “global warming” alarmists?....
4. Wants to roll out the red carpet for the illegal alien hordes?....
5. Was one of two senators (along with the ignoble Lincoln Chafee) who joined the Democrats in voting against the Bush tax cuts?....
6. Proudly put his name to the most dangerous assault on free speech (”McCain-Feingold”) in the nation’s history?....
7. Opposes the effective interrogation technique known as “waterboarding”, and wants to close Gitmo so he can bring captured terrorists to the United States, lawyer them up, and give them access to the courts?....
8. Joins the environmental extremists in opposing drilling for oil in a relatively miniscule section of the frozen, barren, wasteland known as ANWR?....
9. Is older than Bob Dole was when Dole ran for President in 1996, and who would be the oldest man in history to try to win the Presidency as a major party candidate?

Somebody wake me up in 2012 if America is still around.
God help us.

Please vote against McCain in the primaries, and you can even call a talk show today or tomorrow to expose McCain.

Some specific names of people who both support the platform 100% of the way through... Heck, by that criteria, even Fred Thompson couldn’t get a spot

Oh, hogwash! I said nothing about 100%. If the party "leaders" want McCain, Schwarzenegger and Giuliani as the standard bearers of the GOP, I'll find someplace else to go. I won't vote for liberals or the mentally unstable.

A Democratic pick will always turn out to be a Ginsberg.

It was a while ago, but Whizzer White, who was a pretty good justice, was a Democrat appointee.
