Huck Looks for Black Helicopters
nationalreview.com ^ | 02/02/08 | [Mark R. Levin]

This is incredible. Mike Huckabee accuses Sean Hannity, who has announced he will vote for Mitt Romney on Tuesday, of being influenced by Bain Capital, which Huckabee says owns Sean's network — Clear Channel.

First, the facts. Bain is trying to buy Clear Channel, or parts of it. Clear Channel does own many radio stations. Sean appears on many of their stations, as do many of us. But Sean's syndication partner is ABC Radio Networks, which was recently acquired by Citadel Broadcasting.

So, not only does Huckabee get his facts wrong, like most conspiracy kooks, he makes a scurrilous charge — in his usual matter-of-fact way — and then admits he really doesn't know. Here's the video.

Not enough attention is given this tendency we've seen from Huckabee. In South Carolina, where the Confederate flag issue was largely settled, he brought up during campaign stops to agitate for support. It was utterly irresponsible act. And then there was his devil-worship line about the Mormon faith, which was intended to raise questions about Romney's religion.

This is disgraceful stuff.

If he is not God’s choice he won’t win. If he is, there is not one thing anyone can do about it, no matter how hard they try. Can we agree on that?

How about it Huck. Did you lie about a degree? Do you know what scripture I’m alluding too? Freepers want answers. Be prepared though, no matter how you respond, your enemies won’t be satisfied.

Nah...It’s W’s fault. Isn’t it?

The Huckster deserves a one way ticket back to Arkansas. He’s a charlatan; a snake oil salesman.

There are a few here peddling the “Mitt owns Clear Channel” myth.

Oops. I’m not the greatest of spellers. What can you expect from a Southern Baptist with an IQ of 50 though? LOL. In all fairness I did a spell check and it can be spelled both ways.

“Considering Levin is in the tank for an equally worthless moderate, its pott/kettle syndrome.”

That’s unfair. Do you listen to Levin. His Romney endorsement is VERY recent. There comes a time to use some common sense and not support candidates who no longer are in the race, or are you willing to settle for McCain. That’s the choice you have. Levin simply sees that.

Can we have the exact quote, in context, from Huckabee?

"Some suggest that the fact that Bain Capital owns a major stake in Clear Channel is on Sean's network, maybe there's a correlation. I don't know."

Huckabee's obvious meaning is that Sean Hannity endorsement of ROmney is only because he is OWNED by Romney, and the same goes for Rush, etc.

The Problem with Huckabee's Black Helicopter Tin foil thinking is

1. Romney no longer has any affliation with Bain Capitol

2. Bain Capitol does not own Clear Channel, it is atytempting to buy them (or a protion there of)

3. Hannity was an unabashed Guiliani supporter and after Guiliani dropped he said he would vote for Romney. He never said "I am endorsing Romney", although that is semantics.

4. Clear Channel does not OWN the Hannity show, Rush Limbaugh or any other talk show -- they just air the shows on SOME of thier stations

Bottom Line, Huckabee's statement was nothing but a baseless untrue smear attempt. Huckabee is lower than pig snot, and is a disgrace to Republican's, Baptist's, and slimey Arkansas politicians.

Huckabee is trying to smear anyone by making statements he knows are false. He is unable to control his anti Mormon (and other religion) bigotry.

Huck has sunk pretty low cozying up to McCain and showing a complete lack of class while doing so. Serious lack of judgment. But we knew that since Huckabee granted clemencies an average of once every 4 days for 10 years.

I suppose. But where was Levin and Rush and the gang bolstering the conservatives (Fred/Hunter/Tanc) months ago? Even the last minute pining for Fred before SC was too little too late.

So we are where we are. A choice between a old Nutcase, a flip flopper extraordinaire, and an arkansas hayseed.

The bright side is, if you are an environmentalist, is they all believe in the farce called global warming, so we can look forward to international treaties and higher taxes.

The bright side is, if you are believer in socialized medicine, is that all three deem it the government’s job to ensure health care coverage is universal.

The bright side is, if you believe China is a friend, not a foe, is that none of them will lift a finger to prepare the US for a major conflict with the chicoms.

The bright side is, if you are believer in campaign rhetoric over long established records in office, is that all three are now conservatives. LOL
