The only way a McCain Presidency would be acceptable is if....

Posted on 02/05/2008 9:46:29 PM PST by Kuja

We win back the Senate (House would be nice too) and Jeff Sessions is our majority leader. He would be the opposite of spineless RINO Frist and McConnell because he wouldn't allow a shamnesty to be passed and he wouldn't let McCain pass nutty environmental regulations and taxes.

This really is the only way I could stomach a McCain presidency.

The only way I could stomach a McCain Presidency would be if he were sworn in and then immediately resigned to let Vice President Tancredo assume the position of Commander-in-Chief.

Yeah...that'd do fine.

I saw a strange item on Rockwell. It said McCain was born in the Panama, which is not US soil. It was never US territory apparently. If so, he’s not eligible as he’s not born a US citizen?!

There’s yet hope!

Not going to happen. Compare the turnout tonight. Dems will win it all.

That would be ideal but seriously this stinks. I say let the demoncats have the country for four years. If we are too stupid to not do our homework for vote for the really only two good guys (Tancredo/Hunter) then we deserve to lose.

That is what was learned tonight. There is no way the repubs are going to get out the vote the way the dems are rolling. Ring up 8 years of liberal lunacy.

We’re going to lose between 3-8 Senate seats this year no matter how good or bad it turns out. We won’t be regaining the majority.

It is UGLY out there for Republicans. The Dem turnout was huge. Barring a major gaff by the Dem nominee or some testicular fortitude transplant into the Republicans...... this election is going to be UGLY for Republicans.

McCain is going to be the nominee (>95% chance) and he will lose big time if the turnout numbers are in any way reflective of what will happen in November.

Yeah, and the McCain supporters can't ask for my vote for someone I will never vote for and can't ask for "loyalty" from me to a man who hates conservatives. They were warned that McCain was unacceptable. Unelectable. And since they voted him up, they can run a General Election campaign on a dollarstore budget without 30 to 40 percent of the conservative base and without our money, attention, volunteer hours, or interest. The election's over for me.

Here's your bed, guys. You made it, sleep in it with your dhimmicrat friends. Have fun storming the castle.

I’ll stay home and watch Obama win on TV. The country deserves what it votes for.

Not to worry. The states McShame is winning are Blue states. The states he is loosing are Red states. McNasty will get creamed. The last bit of good news Conservatives will have is that the maverick is finished in politics in the fall. Loser.

The liberal media have all of their John McCain hit pieces all ready to go out now. It’s going to be a McCain destruction party for them these next seven months. The GOP is in a real mess now.

Constitution of the United States, Article II, Section 1, Clause 5:

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

From Black’s Law Dictionary, Sixth Edition: “Natural born citizen. Persons who are born within the jurisdiction of a national government, i.e. in its territorial limits, or those born of citizens temporarily residing abroad.”

Two cases in point: (1) George Romney of Michigan who ran for president in 1968. Mr. Romney was born in a Mormon community in Chihuahua, Mexico. His parents were U.S. citizens so he was a natural born citizen. (2) John McCain of Arizona was a candidate in 2000. McCain was born in Panama where his father was stationed in the service, so he would also be “natural born.”

You do realize how ridiculous it would be for the U.S. to tell our men and women in the service that the children born to them while they are serving overseas are not eligible to be President and are not natural born citizens? This would be ludicrous, and it isn’t the Constitution.

I fear this is true. The difference in turnout is astonishing. Baring some extreme event or shift, I don't see how the republicans can overcome that much enthusiasm on the dem's part in November, especially with the crap candidates the republicans have running.....
