Romney out. Congratulations Freepers on ensuring there was no conservative in the race. (Vanity)

Posted on 02/07/2008 9:51:12 AM PST by mbraynard

You rallied behind someone who never had their heart in the race and was never a leader in their life (Thompson) or never had a chance in hell (Hunter). What is needed more than anything to win the WH is a drive to do the spade work necessary to get there. So by denying Romney victory in IA and NH and SC, and splitting the field, you now have probably the worst enemy of all - someone the Wonderful Mr. Jim Robinson never saw fit to put a 'truth file' on.

So, nice work.

People were saying “FR has NO clue”, “FR has NO influence” and “FR isn’t ‘mainstream’ enough and doesn’t look for the electable candidate”.

Now you come along and blame it all on FR? LOL Just PISS OFF — fool.

. . .and you are lecturing those who stood with guys that had some genuine bona fides?

Um, genuine bona fides? If that is true, then why are we now stuck with McLame? I hate to say this, but the field of GOP candidates sucked from beginning to end. Now we're faced with the choice of the worse possible scenerio (Hitlery or B. Hussein) or swalling a bitter pill and hoping the GOP minority can keep him reigned in. I pray for our future.

I haven’t had a choice to vote in a caucus and the candidate has been chosen for me. Freepers had nothing to do with this, the choice was manipulated by the MSM and the RINOS/Democrats from the start who outnumber Freepers by at least ten thousand to one. The system was played out by those that had the most money and were the most devious and ruthless. McCain and the Democrats fit the butcher’s bill.

There were no McCain truth files, because FReepers didn’t need them. McCain comes in miserably in every poll. Jim’s “McCain you miserable &%$#*@....” thread is legendary.

I see even without having a candidate to push down our throats you still can’t be gracious about the fact that we have the freedom to choose a different candidate than you want us to choose. You may have seen Romney as the perfect conservative but many others did not.

You might try breathing into a paper bag. The increased CO2 levels do wonders to offset hyperventilation.

“his brave and selfless military service”

Don’t believe that for a minute!

If he hadn’t have had Admirals in his family he would have nwashed out of flight training, lost 5 aircraft and been captured because he was a lousy pilot.

Proven pro-DNC media Bias in the USA - Even Bill Clinton got more time than any Repub candidate.
Conservative Repub candidates were ignored by the MSM. All of them.

Romney’s speech was one of the best I have ever heard, it was very much Reaganesque. I am disappointed deeply but my respect for him has only grown. I will not be listening to Rush for a very long time. He could have helped Romney so much. No courage Rush. Your bully pulpit has too many conditions.

Sorry. Duncan Hunter has a record of conservatism and accomplishment 2nd to none. Yet many freepers immediately started looking to electable RINOs. We get what we deserve.

This West Texan Disagrees with you. Mitt was the best one out of the three left. I am sad by his leaving this race.
