Isn’t Mansfield in DeSoto Parish? Maybe I’m wrong, but I thought that was a highly conservative and Baptist part of Louisiana.

Gap in E Baton Rouge down to 14 points. Huck picking up a little ground there. He needs to keep eating away at McCain’s lead in that parish to win.

The grand champion and all-around master of holding back final vote counts in certain precincts was and alway will be Da Mare, Richard J. Daley of Chicago.....not to be confused with his son, da current Chicago Mare, Richard M. Daley, who does the same thing.

You are right on all accounts and it will go heavily for Huck. The problem is DeSoto sparsely populated plus this is a closed primary for the first time in many years. Lots of conservatives are still registered as Democrats and couldn’t vote.

If Huckabee wins without 50%, is there a run off?

E Baton Rouge down to a 13 point gap. This looking better each update for Huckabee. He might just hang on for the win.

If not over 50%, delegates go to convention uncommitted.

If no candidate gets 50% then the delegates are free to vote for their choice at the convention.
