A blurb in the Nat'l Review tonight pointed out that Obama's winning mostly states that are either strongly Republican or Democrat. In other words, he's winning either states where he's got no chance in the general election, or states the Democrats are expected to carry in November anyway. Now, there are a few exceptions - MO, VA, and NM.
Hillary seems to poll better in critical states like Florida and Michigan.
Any comments?
Non-African male anti-Hillary vote. (Trying to be PC!)
Only if his views on race, Jews/Israel, and economics were really reported. He is as big a bigot as can be. However, he is a charismatic bigot.
Is being the better liar the only strategy to pursue for getting yourself elected president? If so, it’s hard to say whether Obama is any better or worse than Hillary as the Dem nominee. The Democrat party is populated almost entirely by liars.
Ain't no thang ~ these guys get in office they govern pretty much like Republicans ~ much more dependable than white Democrats.
Comrade Barack Hussein Obama has a juicy record in Springfield — pro post birth abortions (yes, you read that right), pro porn in schools, pro reduced penalties for sex offenders, pro reduced penalties for gang crime, sex ed for Kindergarteners — this guy has a record of the avant-garde of the avant-garde.
In short, he makes Jesse look conservative. And I haven’t even started on his Muslim upbringing, his Marxist Church on 95th street that preaches liberation theology, Obama’s connections with slumlords, etc.
If played skillfully, this can be an easy slam dunk for us.
Obama will blow out John McCain.
If it’s Obama vs McCain in the general, I’m betting you’ll see a lot of Dems sit out or vote McCain because of Obama being black.
“This is the only state in modern times to elect a black man as Governor.”
What about the current Gov. in Mass? Did you mean Southern states?
McCain will kick Obama’s ass royally in Florida, a state Bush had to fight for against other candidates. California is actually in play with Obama facing McCain. Anywhere racist Hispanics who refuse to vote for a black President represent a significant chunk of the general election population, McCain is viable.
I doubt it. Obama is at or near the high water mark. It won't be long now before reality smacks him right in the face. If the Clintons won't do it, McCain and his folks will.
Obama is a con man - however, he is very charismatic. The Republicans do not want to run against him and will be in so much trouble if they have to. Have you listened to his crowds - they think he walks on water and don’t even notice the no substance of what he says.
I’ll bet you that northern virginia got Wilder elected. Unless it’s winner take all in that state, it sounds like a tossup at best.
People do not like Hillary, that is the reason that Hillary is the better match for Republicans and is the reason she will not get the nomination. The likeability factor she faces in the general election is working against her in the primaries as well. McCain will be creamed by Obama. McCain has the likeability problems in his own party just like Hillary and that he is experiencing tonight against Huckabee. The shot he has against Hillary does not exist against a blank page MSM deified Obama.
NR is wrong on this one, because Obama will WIN those supposedly Republican states. Where are they, anyway? I don’t think that there are any “Republican” states any more. Even Kansas is not reliable in a general election, and on-and-off elects Demonrat governors.
McCain will be lucky if he carries a single state.
Don’t forget Gov Wilder of VA
Richmond got Wilder elected.
Ive been listening to him drone on for an hour and not say anything. Im finding his empty cadence as distasteful as shrillerys screech.
Florida and Michigan were supposed to be off limits - but Hillary campaigned in them anyway. She did better in MI because she was the only name on the ballot and “uncommitted” still won 40%
Hillary is only staying tied with Obama by using every dirty trick and playing the DNC party structure to her advantage.
Right, didn’t forget him, just correcting somebody else.
