On "30 Rock" last year, Tina Fey confessed that she is going to "tell all my friends I'm voting for Barack Obama" - then "secretly vote for John McCain."
So John McCain is a Tina Fey Republican. Democrat Joe Lieberman and The New Republic editor Franklin Foer like McCain too. Strange stuff, but not as strange as what's happened to Rush Limbaugh. He's become a Ralph Nader Republican.
Limbaugh told the Washington Post's Howard Kurtz last weekend that if McCain is his party's nominee, he would rather Democrats retake the White House: "If I believe the country will suffer with either Hillary, Obama or McCain, I would just as soon the Democrats take the hit . . . rather than a Republican causing the debacle."
Limbaugh, and maybe Ralph Nader, must be the only ones who believe there are seriously no differences between the Democrats and McCain.

Best line (although it pertains to the last election): Only Democrats could nominate a guy who rode to fame as an anti-military activist and be shocked when his fellow vets speak out against him.
The "New American Pioneers" proclaimed in his book are the illegal alien invaders he urges to become settlers in the USA. Hernandez believes all Mexicans and Mexican-Americans in the USA should become dual citizens and consider themselves Mexicans first, "to the 8th generation." He believes there should be no border at all between Mexico and the USA, ever.
And this is the man McCain chose for his "Hispanic Outreach Director." In the past week he was asked about this choice, and McCain said he chose Hernandez because he agrees with his positions. If so, McCain is supporting invasion and reconquista.
Then I read our Constitution, Article 4 Section 4, and I can only conclude one thing: Juan McShamnesty is our new Benedict Arnold.
I wouldn't go that far, but I'm still not voting for McCain. If there's going to be an anti-conservative president, I'd rather it be a democrat so we can at least have an honest fight.
IF I were to vote for McCain, I lie about it too, Tina Fey.
However, in my case, lying will not be necessary.
I think it's too early to disband the firing squad. McCain has to be made aware that a lot of people are not happy with his fight against tax cuts and cozying up to the likes of Ted Kennedy. His voting record is almost pure RINO and he is going to have to convince people that he will support the fundamental GOP positions because his voting record shows some rather gaping holes in it. True, he has "reached across the isle" to work with the opposition, but what I don't see is that gesture being reciprocated by the left. I don't want him supporting the liberal ideals like he has in the past unless there is a HUGE payout for what I believe in. Right now, I simply don't trust McCain enough to feel that way.
Amnesty is inevitable just like NAFTA. Study the history, it is repeating itself. Over 60 percent of Americans polled were against NAFTA yet a Democrat President (Clinton) pushed it thru with a coalition of GOP and Dem Congress. When the corporate elites want something they will eventually get it. Illegal immigrants will help the corporate class make hundreds of billions of dollars in profits and will cost the taxpayers tens of billions of dollars in entitlement costs. Thus the corporate elites assessing this see the taxpayers burden and costs is less than the net profits made. That type of thinking will spark revolution in this country. In our grandchildren’s generation many of us will live to see the day of armed revolt. The rich and their families will be dragged out of their gated homes (after their body guards run our of ammo trying to stop the mobs) and cut to pieces. In their final hours of life, they probably would be wondering and clueless on why they are so hated by the rest of society and about to die horribly. There is an old saying, the king is a boat and the his subjects are the ocean. If the boat creates too much turbulance, the ocean will sink the boat.
"If I believe the country will suffer with either Hillary, Obama or McCain, I would just as soon the Democrats take the hit . . . rather than a Republican causing the debacle."
And I keep hearing that little weasel word "IF" in everything Rush says.
“Only Democrats could nominate a guy who rode to fame as an anti-military activist and be shocked when his fellow vets speak out against him.”
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
They also nominated the draft dodging Clinton twice!
The only ray of light (and it’s a faint one) is that Congressional Republicans can stand up (however weakly) to Hillary or Obama but would have to get in line (grudginly or not) behind McCain for the same bad idea.
Limbaugh said that? What an effing idiot!
You dont win by losing.
“Limbaugh said that? What an effing idiot!
You don’t win by losing.”
Exactly ...
One thing we should have learned by now is that what you THINK will be important in the next 4 years will probably not be how things go.
Did anyone think that we were deciding what our Presidents response would be to 911 when we elected Bush over Algore ?
I don’t see a lot of people saying “ We should have elected Gore, that way we can be blaming the Dems for all AlQueda is doing “.
I don’t see Coulter or Rush saying “Damn, I wish I had supported the Dems back then...”
Why would anyone in their right mind want to have someone they KNOW will screw us up in charge ?
Please remember that Rush is all about Rush and his paycheck; not about what is best for America.
It's incredibly telling that someone on this board would say this in defense of voting for John McCain while calling people that wouldn't vote for him for the same reason idiots. I blame the educational system, so dont feel bad.
Please explain to a RATIONAL human being your vote for Billary Obama . . . .
Didn't the Romney supporters advise us to do just the opposite with their candidate?
Rush isn't saying vote for McCain. Quite the opposite, I believe.
Tell a RATIONAL person why you would vote for Billary Obama with an R next to his name. Frankly, stupid liberal smear tactics like this one (The last idiot called me a terrorist sympathiser) will ensure conservatives are offended enough with RepublicRats like yourself, that Billary Osama will be the next president.
“I blame the educational system, so dont feel bad.”
Lets see ...
I KNOW that school #1 is bad, school #2 MAY be bad - guess I’ll send my kid to school #1 so I can blame them when he turns out bad. That way I’ll feel better.
