I wish all registered voters in Texas would vote for Obama
February 10, 2008 | Allan J. Favish

Texas will hold its primary on March 4, 2008. People do not register as members of political parties in Texas, so on March 4th, anybody who is registered to vote, can vote for Obama. See http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/primary.shtml. With McCain already the Republican nominee effectively, why not have those who lean Republican all vote for Obama to help destroy Hillary's candidacy?

Texas will send delegates to the Democrat convention. 126 of those will be chosen in the 31 separate primaries on March 4, 2007 divided by state Senate districts. See http://www.mydd.com/story/2008/2/8/17340/43669. Republicans can help Obama get many of these 126.

Another 67 delegates will be based on the results of caucuses. Those who lean Republican and voted for Obama may be able to attend the caucuses. But I am not sure.

As I see it, better to have Obama defeat her rather than risk her becoming President in a battle with McCain.

vote for Obama

No way!

If I do cross over, it will be to vote for Shrillery 'cuz she's more beatable. More likely, though, I will vote GOP so I can go to the precinct convention. (If I went to a rat convention, I doubt I would get out alive). So I will probably vote for Hucklebee if he still has a pulse, or more likely, I will waste my vote on Alan Keyes.

Thank you for your very polite reply. sarc/

So, now it's ok to vote for Rudy or Mitt, permission has been granted? That's just peachy.

I think some folks are *actually* trying to get Obamaramadan elected and I ain’t jokin’, under the guise of “defeat Hillary”.

Well, think whatever you want, I damn sure am not!

I believe hillary [any clinton] will win given the opportunity to run in the general, at that time she will have the entire corrupt democrat machine behind her cheating in ways we can not even imagine!

Texas voters crossing over is a legitimate vote.

So is staying home and helping select the candidates in the various offices besides President that will be on ones ballot. There are other races being contested in TX besides the Presidential primary...

I think we’ve got Obama worshippin’ going here.

I haven't seen that here, I have seen that others think as I do, take the clintons out now while we still have any chance to do so. Later, we will have NO chance.

I know, you don't agree.

You’d find less support for Obama on some threads at DU I think.

Couldn't say, I don't do DU.

If Hillary is Obama’s VP, she’ll become President sooner or later.
If Hillary is VP, Obama would be well advised to avoid small airplanes and not eat anything without testing.

Dunno sorry if i sound rude just kinda sick with a fever and therefore quite testy. I guess it’s whatever we got to do to come to terms with what is. We all know we’ll be voting to thwart the Dem in the fall. We all know we’ll be voting McCain.

McCain will get a lot of the independent, moderate vote that will not vote for Obama’s inexperience, liberalism, military babble. Those same people would vote for hillary, thinking she would be stronger militarily, experienced, plus she has Bill and they love, love her mandatory socialized health coverage.
