The temps were back down to normal this week but we still had clear skies making for good dry Freeping weather.
Our team today was Kelly and I. Kelly brought his new sign that said "Love Our Troops Honk 3 Times Peace, Baby". We got our typical 75%-80% more honks than the moonbats did and we got a few nice comments from motorists waiting for the light to change.
We had a few good highlights this evening. The first was a lady coming out of one of the nearby shops who said that she and her daughter were proud of what we were doing and proceeded to thank us. The next was a woman waiting at the crosswalk who said she appreciated what we were doing. One of the moonbats had parked near our corner and proceeded to walk by us giving us one mean looking scowl as she waited at the crosswalk. Even though she tried to ignore us Kelly began questioning her sign which had some anti bush statement written on it. Kelly was nice and calm as he laid out the facts to her and though she stayed calm you could tell by the shade of red on her face she was getting quite embarrassed. Once she got the walk signal she hurried over to the moonbats side. The last and most special highlight came when an old man walked by and then stopped to talk with us. He was a Vietnam vet and he told us what he experienced there. He thanked us for standing up for the troops in this war. It was great hearing his story. We thanked him for his service to our country and he left with a big smile on his face.
