If he declared all Israelis to be Eskimos, would that make them Eskimos?

Hate to put a damper on the festivities, but isn’t Jewish Law really, really, really GOD’S Law? I mean, we’re talking stoning here.

I’m just sayin’.

"We want religious people to know that we want to adhere to Halacha. But we also want them to understand that a homosexual is born the way he is and has no choice."

Yeah, yeah, yeah, just as Alouette is in Israel celebrating the birth of her 20th grandchild conceived in the good old heterosexual way!

I am so sick of these deviants, when it comes to replicating the Jewish People they are nowhere. They disgust me. They can't compete with me. I rule the Jewish world!

Eskimos are terrorists; they are attacking American, Canadian and European sources responsible for Global Warming! Yes it is true; the Eskimos are smart enough to blame their deeds on Muslim terrorists!

Be careful how you rank sin. Is it a greater sin for some sexually confused person to express himself than murder (retsach?) Is it a greater sin to bear false witness than to worship false gods? (like the UN?) Is it a greater sin to gossip than commit adultery? I believe that G-d detests all sin—but the sin of homosexuality makes it difficult for that person to turn towards G-d, because he is blinded. G-d talks about repentence as Tikkun (recognizing sin) and Tshuva-turning from that sin. We are all sinners and we need to hear the G-d of the Universe—so my prayer is rather than to condemn homosexuals, I ask that the Father give them the clarity to recognize that they have turned away and fallen short from the glory of G-d (as we all have)—not condemned by themselves, but they need to run towards our Father in all humility...

Also, women are not commanded to "be fruitful and multiply" according to most opinions in Orthodoxy.

Really?

These must be the same folks who won't routinely listen to a shofar on the first day of the seventh month.

No ranking accept in human eyes, for God sin is sin.

And it separates us from Him.

I am so sick of these deviants

I once had a conversation with a teenage secular Israeli girl about this. It was a family outing sort of day. "It was just natural for them," she told me so certain of herself. I told her I was a natural born rapist.

I think you are the one who needs to be careful. You seem to be saying that since one cannot observe all 613, it's okay to observe none.

And there's a big difference, to me at least, between quietly failing to observe, and celebrating that failure.

I don't get it. These "gay Orthodox" people have to ask their "rabbis" for permission to sit together in shul (and will supposedly obey them), but they simply throw out Halakhah's ban on homosexuality? This being the case, why is it necessary to have a rabbi's permission to sit together? Why not just plow right ahead on that too?

Islamists threaten the very existence of the Jewish state and this is the news there.

God, what You will.

There is this misconception that they want the Torah changed to permit the forbidden sexual acts. They don’t.
The problem is their determination to force the religious world to ‘normalize’ their admittedly perverted desires. Even though the real orthodox ones are not in any way expecting any kind of permission to engage in forbidden activity.
It’s just important not to misunderstand their aim.

I just read a responsa on whether an individual can be a practising homosexual and a Torah observant Jew, here:

http://www.rabbinevins.org/HHH%20Dorff%20Nevins%20Reisner%20Final2.pdf

Although I’m not Jewish, I find the reasoning in the Responsa fascinating. I would appreciate any commentary or perspective you can provide on this difficult subject. Many thanks.

Islamicists would have to fight on a new cultural front (and maybe waste money and bombs in the process).
If gays actually win something, it would be a step toward human rights. (Like Nigeria having to say they can’t stone people for sodomy).
And even if the gays lose, they might appreciate the freedoms they have here.
It would lead to greater progress of both cultures.
How to make it happen, though, is the hard part.
