BBC: "al-Qaeda Would Back McCain"

What idiots. From the BBC: (h/t Weasel Zippers)

Islamic terrorists want war. They want suffering - among others and their own people alike.

They would surely surmise that McCain will give them what they want. Bin Laden himself intervened with what many thought was the effect of keeping President Bush in power in 2004 with that weird tape just before the poll.

I think al-Qaeda would back McCain - that is not an argument for or against America backing him, but it seems to me that the vague assumption that the terrorists would back a lefty is lazy thinking..

The only lazy thinking is this idiocy. al-Qaeda wants total domination, they want their version of Islam all across the globe, and they found that having a Republican in office like Bush bit them on the ass….and hard. They are a shadow of their former self, those glory years being the 90’s when it just so happened a Democrat was in office.

But now, somehow, this bozo believes al-Qaeda wants an enemy that fights back rather then capitulate.

You just can’t make this stuff up….I mean really.

And you just know a post about idiots couldn’t be complete without a Hollywood idiot:

Sharon Stone believes the Sept. 11 attacks should not have been used as a pretext for the United States to launch wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, according to her comments published Monday in a pan-Arab newspaper.

In her interview with Al Hayat, the actress also bemoaned what she called Americans’ decision to ignore the deaths of so many Iraqis.

“I feel at great pain when the spotlight is on the death of 4,000 American soldiers, while 600,000 Iraqi deaths are ignored,” she said. “War is not a movie, it is a tragedy of dead bodies, victims, the disabled, orphans, widows and the displaced.”

“But it needs to continue, perhaps for decades.”

Because we are unwilling to even NAME the enemy and will not act or even speak against their central nation - Saudi Arabia - it will take decades. We may very well lose, too. Not on the battlefield, but the courts and voting booth.

“Irrespective of his other failings, and they are many, McCain will not allow that to happen IMHO.”

No, he’ll just encourage his Muslim friends to shift terrorist operations to Kosovo.

I don’t know about the reasoning in the article, but they surely must be in favor of McCain’s “open borders” at all costs policy.

I do not believe they will be successful in Kosovo. That would place Kosovo on a path of being on the receiving end...ourselves and Europe will make sure of that if they directly harbor Al-Quida. Kosovo will have to lay low for years in that regard.

McCain also wants to close Gitmo and give the terrorists ACLU trials right here in America. He is adamantly opposed to waterboarding and has accused America of torture in Iraq.

I can clearly see why Al Qaeda would like him.

Indeed. And don't forget McCain's support for the U.N.'s International Criminal Court that would love nothing more than an excuse to put our troops on trial en masse.

Uh, they already are tied to Al-Qaeda.

McCain’s possible opponents, Hillary and Obama, are worse on the borders issue. The Dems never even wanted those hurdles put in the McCain bill.

Yes, I know the special visa illegals could obtain - per the final version of the bill - could keep all of them here forever, but that wasn’t the intent of most of those who worked on that bill. Obviously it was the intent of some very important somebodies.

In sum, the Dems actually want unconditional amnesty now and forever and let’s invite all their kin to come in after them. You never hear them talk about building the fence or guaranteeing border security first. They don’t even talk the talk much less walk the walk.

And there is no constituency in that party to hold their feet to fire against it, like there is among Republicans and conservative independents.

Since Hillary and Obama are for bugging out of our committments and turning our security over to Europe and the UN and destroying our economy with social welfare spending and tax hikes, our enemies MUST KNOW that the Dems offer them virtual surrender across the board.

And, if for THAT reason alone, we need to elect McCain.

Though, the backstabber will probably say or do something today that will swing me back toward the “let’s educate the Republican party on conservatism” route.

“I feel at great pain when the spotlight is on the death of 4,000 American soldiers, while 600,000 Iraqi deaths are ignored,”

I was going to question the source of her numbers. Then I remembered that surveys show that 76.3% of statistics quoted publicly are made up on the spot.

Bah-da-bing.

Does John McCain hate Serbs or does he like the killing of civilians whoever they may be? He also opposed recovering POWs. Vietnam Veterans Against McCain have made startling accusations, and at least two families of MIAs in Vietnam were snubbed by him.

Yeah, so unacceptable because Obambi dared to suggest that he'll sit and talk to them. That's the only way he'll find bin Laden's palatial cave!! LOL

McCain was one of the biggest cheerleaders for Kosovo’s independence, and the bombing of Serbs, so it stands to reason that Al-Qaeda would like him.

McQueeg might be the worst person to be commander in chief. While we know he's willing to use the military, he seems just too ready to use the military and to use it indiscriminately. And, if we are going to have a long protracted war, we need a Commander-in-Chief who knows how to use limited resources carefully and not to squander them on sideshows. From all his rhetoric, I doubt McCain knows how to do this. And, since it's become obvious that he wants to continue Bush's policies, (which albeit appeared sound before he decided further adventures in the Balkans were in the US best interest), nothing would dilute American foreign policy as effectively as pointless misadventures in parts of the globe where we have no strategic interest.
