Should Barak and Michelle Obama be worried?
worrisome vanity | Feb 20, 2008 | rface

Posted on 02/20/2008 8:40:01 AM PST by rface

Up until now – the Democrat Primaries have been more a source of amusement than a cause for concern. I have watched the blooming of Hillary’s inevitability wilt beneath the hot rhetoric of Obama’s win after win after win, and I have enjoyed the circus. I have watched Bill’s temper flare and I have imagined the “behind the scenes” raging of a pre-ordained President unable to meet her rendezvous with destiny. I have witnessed the enthusiasm of Hillary For President! fanatics fade away into an almost shamed silence. But – I remember the ruthless politics of the Clinton White House. I remember the personal destruction of Katherine Willey, Paula Jones, Gennifer Flowers and Monica. These women paid a price for being a political obstacle….. and there were many other women who paid a similar price.

Now I also remember others who paid a price for standing in the path of the Clinton Political Borg. Vincent Foster knows what I am thinking. The Branch Davidians in Waco, Texas got in the Clinton’s way. Michelle and Barak Obama are now standing squarely in defiance to the ambitions of Bill and Hillary. I wonder if what I am thinking has ever crossed the minds of either Bill or Hillary? Maybe Hillary could try to blame the “Haters of the Right”, like Bill tried to do with the Oklahoma City bombing… but I suspect the Clinton fingerprints would be far too evident.

I cannot imagine anyone would want her for veep, especially since a vice president is a “heartbeat” (or lack thereof) from the Presidency.

The next time that they fly, the Obamas should consider including a parachute in their carry-ons :)

Let's hope his nomination is another Ned Lamont victory for the extreme left.

Let's also hope that we're able to force the sun to shine on his actual beliefs and proposals.

Anyone who swoons every time he utters the word “change” isn’t concerned about substance anyway.

I don't intend to clutter FR with a useless vanity post --- but I have been thinking last night that a cornered Hillary is a dangerous animal, and as much as I'd like to see Obama (or Hillary) lose in November, I'd like an Obama defete not to end in a typically Clinonesque manner.

Keep talking like that and what makes you think she won't be coming after you?

Or one of those pods, like in 'Escape From New York'. Of course, there's only one pod, and it only holds one person.

Hillary wants badly to be on the top of the ticket.

Shouldn’t this be in the ‘homosexual agenda’ catagory ??

Their minds are so narrow that they get depth perception looking through keyholes.

Being the president with a Clinton as VP, that is the most dangerous job in the world

In the end, however, she would accept the second slot to ensure a path to power.

I think Hillary's had her fill of playing second fiddle to a man.

If I could speak to Obama I would tell him to get a good, sound advisor as VP. hillllereee would try and upstage him at every turn. She would be a cloud over his head and don’t forget the old man willie...he’d be on the scene too dillusioned and thinking he was prez again.

No, a new beginning, change and a fresh start means a new, fresh face for the VP slot.

I don't think the Clinton's could survive, literally and figuratively, if some "accident" should befall Obama.

I would say any given JFK speech had more substance than all of Obama's appearances put together.

Is Ted Sorensen looking for a job? He made a silk purse out of a sows ear once before.

Hillary has “double secret super delegates” in her pocket and may still be crowned at the convention even if she doesn’t have the support of popular vote.

And she could always be seated as the running mate. The preying mantis who bites off her mate’s head after climax/victory.

The Clintons live for the power. They don’t take NO very well.

I will add that any attempt on Barrack Obama’s life would be VERY bad for this country. His death would be that of another “rising RFK”, another “MLK”, another Rodney King verdict.

Even just an underhanded party betrayal where the bosses would appoint Hillary over Obama at the convention could lead to a 1968 (Chicago or Paris) series of riots.

I will be voting for the black man in this presidential election but unfortunately Alan Keyes will not be getting the nomination of my party. And he won’t get the VP nod either. He should AT LEAST be permitted to speak at the convention.
