During a question and answer session with Dr. Ron Paul following Paul's remarks at Texas A&M University at Galveston, he is asked if he is willing to debate CD14 challenger Chris Peden.

Peden ping.
Peden is going to get his ass handed to him.
After looking at Peden’s site, I can conclude this: He looks and sounds like a House candidate who got swept into Congress in 94. Reminds me of those guys. A good conservative.
I also know this about Ron Paul- he hasn’t become a DC clone in his 20 years as a Congressman. Most of the 94 guys have.
I don’t live in that district, so I really have no dog in the fight, but I’d stick with a man I absolutely know won’t be corrupted.
I’d recommnd Peden go and look for a liberal to dethrone. He’s not doing anything productive trying to take Paul’s seat.
I wouldn’t say he “lost it” but it sure got him flustered!
Peden bump
Well I do and me and a lot of CD 14 voters are going to throw Ron Paul one heck of a retirement party on March 4th. ;)
Another RP-bot out of CD 14 that can’t vote for him in the congressional race.
Have fun with that Presidential vote though. :)
From a strategic standpoint, why would he debate Peden?
Front-runners have everything to lose by debating.
Well, in his own words when he wasn't included in the Fox debate- the voters have a right to hear from all candidates. Also, according to a recent article in the Galveston County Daily News, Peden is actually leading Paul. Now, with all the national exposure, I believe that Peden's chances are nill, but just like how Paul's supporters stick with him even though he is pretty much mathematically eliminated from the Presidential nomination, I'll stick with Peden for congress.
Hey, sorta OT: next time you go a-hippie-punchin, you should drop me a line. I have some frustration I could stand to work out. :)
Chris Peden, along with Cynthia Dunbar, who is running for Tom DeLay’s old seat, will be speaking tonight at the Keyes America’s Revival Rally at Houston Baptist University, Belen Chapel, 7:00 pm. (Doors open at 6:30.)
Everyone in the Houston vicinity needs to come and hear what Dr. Keyes has to say.
But, for those who can’t, I believe they’re going to have a live stream on the web at http://www.alankeyes.com .
I’ll look you up at the next Ren Fest. Last year I mean to look around and see if I recognized ya.
Good, I hope he doesn’t give Peden the publicity. Paul is the last of the paleos in congress. There are already enough “compassionate” “conservatives.” Paul is a way to keep paleos and small L libertarians voting Republican. Ditch him for a Bush “conservative,” and you may lose the last of the paleo voters.
I’m tired of Paloes and Neos, we need more Goldwater Conservatives.
Texas conservatives need to vote for Alan Keyes. Don’t be one of those who allowed themselves to be maneuvered into supporting a liberal.
