WASHINGTON (AP) — Defense Secretary Robert Gates says the United States is prepared to share with China some of the information it has about this week's U.S. satellite shootdown.
His comments came after Beijing complained the missile strike could cause harm to outer space security and some countries.
Gates told reporters during a visit to Hawaii that the United States is prepared to share whatever it can "appropriately" share with China.
The Pentagon said earlier that debris from the obliterated satellite is being tracked over the Pacific and Atlantic oceans but appears to be too small to cause damage on Earth.
WTF?
There has to be more to this story.
As soon as China cooperates on their Data from 30 days ago.
I believe this is called "gloating" amongst us mere mortals. :)
They probably know more about this “event” than we do anyway. They just want to verify the data...... messy
Just when you think this administration has sunk as low as it possibly can go, it surprises us yet again.
There is. What we will share is the time and place of the intercept...and what debris was left after impact. We will also let them know how long we belive the debris will remain in orbit.
No big deal.
I wonder what information they decided to appropriately “share” with us, when thy shot their own satellite down?

Herr Clinton would have probably gotten a better price for this information from the ChiComs. Maybe they were already shopping it for scampaign contributions.

That’s silly.
We will not share anything they couldn’t confirm on their own. We will essentially tell them when and how we will destroy the satellite, and how much debris is left in orbit and for how long.
It’s not a big deal, and we are obligated by treaty to do it. So take a deep breath and relax.
“appropriately” is the key word in there. No need for torches and pitchforks at this time. We really are jumping at shadows around here.
