My first vanity ever.
I was called last night by Zogby (boy I felt special!!)
After the usual 'how do you feel about candidates, blah blah blah' they snuck in the question "Are you familiar with Michelle Obama's statement about how it was the first time she was proud of her country" and of course the guy (who was really nice by the way) got an earful about all the wonderful things that has happened in several years. They also asked if it would affect if I would vote Obama and I said yes (even thought I didn't admit I wouldn't have voted for him anyway)
Alot of really odd questions and ALOT about spouses, including Bill. I threw in one Clinton was enough and the guy laughed. Not politely, but a real laugh.
I felt so special guys, I never have been polled before. Much less by Zogby. Not that they can always be trusted, but still. I felt actually grown up. (OH GOD, WHAT AM I SAYING!>!> Please, someone pass the keg quick so redeem my youth)
What? Every ten or so years we’re going to get a loud-mouth, scheming, “power-behind-the-throne” meddlesome first lady? First it was Rosalynn Carter, then Hillary Clinton and now Michelle Obama. Enough with these Eva Peron wannabe’s!!

BUT, I THINK THE REAL REASON THAT THE NYT SLIMED MCCAIN WAS TO GET MICHELLE "I'M FINALLY PROUD" OBAMA OFF THE FRONT PAGES AND OFF THE 24/7 CABLE NEWS CYCLE!... it worked.

So, it looks like Barack has had his vengeance on Michelle for calling him “stinky” and “snore-y.”
And she sure has some self-esteem issues, doesn’t she? I think that’s part of her appeal to the Oprah audience: her inflated but fragile ego. Oprah’s fans can identify with Mrs. Obama. People were always telling them that they weren’t smart enough either; and, yet, here they are, sitting around watching daytime TV. Who’s laughing now?
