I could do all that with a shovel.

It might take me a while, but I can do it.

What a hoot!

I’m waiting, rather impatiently for REAL science to show up and PROVE that “global warming” is because of carbon and humans. Till then, I call it junk scare science designed to TAX you and usher you into a primitive lifestyle, by choice - due to the hysteria.

Everytime Al Gore is rushing off to some Global Warming conference trashing Americans it always seems we have the coldest weather here on record.

I had a lot more leaves to rake this year and they fell off the trees in November but doesn’t that mean the trees are healthier and will be doing a better job filtering the earths air?

The real science about climate is in the sun which has no spots and causing the global cooling we are witnessing at present. Soon the sun spots will be back and we will warm up again. Owl Gore is making a fortune on fiction.

The 4,000-square-foot house is a model of environmental rectitude.
Geothermal heat pumps located in a central closet circulate water through pipes buried 300 feet deep in the ground where the temperature is a constant 67 degrees; the water heats the house in the winter and cools it in the summer. Systems such as the one in this “eco-friendly” dwelling use about 25% of the electricity that traditional heating and cooling systems utilize.

A 25,000-gallon underground cistern collects rainwater gathered from roof runs; wastewater from sinks, toilets and showers goes into underground purifying tanks and is also funneled into the cistern. The water from the cistern is used to irrigate the landscaping surrounding the four-bedroom home. Plants and flowers native to the high prairie area blend the structure into the surrounding ecosystem.

No, this is not the home of some eccentrically wealthy eco-freak trying to shame his fellow citizens into following the pristineness of his self-righteous example. And no, it is not the wilderness retreat of the Sierra Club or the Natural Resources Defense Council, a haven where tree-huggers plot political strategy.

This is President George W. Bush’s “Texas White House”

Someone just made an interesting remark on Fox News stating “if they are so sure a virtual fence will work on the Mexican border than why not take the fence down around the White House and install a virtual fence?”

Can I get carbon credits for my socks?

Absolutely! That's how I get most of my carbon credits. See...you don't need foot-warmers or space heaters by your feet if you're just wearing the proper type of sock for the climate.

If only more people knew this, we could save the earth!

I feel for ya. I really do. Winter here is really miserable too.

Today, for example, it might have got as low as 60f. On the plus side, it’s windy enough that the leaves will be someone else’s problem by tomorrow.

I’ll plant some trees for you. You get the added benefit of replanting a tropical rainforest near a damaged coral reef. Sort of a three-fer.

Only $125. A bargain, even, at half the price.

Details follow in a freepmail.

;)

I’m sure there is something unhealthy about your sock fixation.

It all began with a dare last summer, followed by a vanity thread I posted which was immediately yanked.

The rest, as they say, is history. ;-)

That’s why I would NEVER EVER buy a snow blower without electric start.

The guy in the warm store who says it starts on ONE PULL is far away, probably sleeping in a warm bed, when your snow blower doesn’t start. He’s already forgotten about his lie to you.

If you call him, he’ll just say that you didn’t bring it in for the annual $100 tune-up.

ALWAY either buy electric start, or get the salesmans home phone number.
