The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that John McCain continues to hold a very modest lead against both potential Democratic challengers. In a general election match-up, McCain now leads Barack Obama 46% to 44% and Hillary Clinton 48% to 44%. McCain has led both Democrats on each night of individual tracking since the controversial New York Times article on McCain was released earlier this week (see recent daily results and summary of recent state general election polls).
The Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator shows Democrats with a 284 to 229 lead in the Electoral College. If leaners are not included, the Democrats lead 238 to 189. Since yesterday, North Carolina has shifted from Safe Republican to Likely Republican while Wisconsin has shifted from Likely Democrat to Leans Democrat. New polling has been released today for Wisconsin and New Mexico. The Balance of Power Calculator determines projections by aggregating a variety of information from many sources including polls, the Rasmussen Markets, analyst assessments and more (see summary of recent state general election polling).

Wow you are jealous LOL
I pasted and copied, which is plagiarism since I did not attribute. The omission was the, fault of another.
He graduated and that is a rarified category in itself.
If someone want’s to know what is going to happen this fall, I suggest they do a little work with google, and look at the numbers of democrats and republicans who voted in the primaries.
The democrat numbers were superior in every primary.
The republican selections didn’t light a fire under many people.
Yes, but not all of those polls are updated as readily as the national poll. If a candidate wins by a full percentage point or more nationally the usually will most likely win a majority of the Electoral votes.
bttt
From the comedy cult favorite movie, Napoleon Dynamite
You would vote for Fred Thompson as the VP, and I’ll just bet that one of the reasons you don’t like McCain is McCain-Feingold, right?
This conservative is N O T willing to hand over control of our military to a socialist.
The rest of you can stay home and sulk that the one candidate who supported McCain-Feingold didn’t get the nomination, so you won’t vote for the other candidate who authored McCain-Feingold.
Fred Thompson stood next to McCain after McCain-Feingold was passed. But, McCain-Feingold is often cited as a reason to not support McCain and support Thompson.
I’m really starting to think that those of you claiming to be conservatives and willing to let a socialist be CIC are simply frauds. I only say that because conservatives are not unintelligent.
Rasmussen is nuts! It has WV as “Safely Republican!” That’s insane. Just a clue as to how tight the GOP is wrapped here... Rockefeller’s term is up...here’s the GOP challenger

It is shaping up to be another close race, but if McCain plays this right, he could definitely win it -- especially if Hillary! softens up some of that Obama support during the primaries / or steals the nomination from him at the convention.
Exactly. So we're just going to have to steal the election again by rigging the vote in Ohio, just like we did in 2004. Not a problem.
All your Diebold are belong to us!
bwahahahahaha
THAT was a joke right?
A retired four-star general who I talk with regularly told me that McCain just missed the numerical cut to graduate. But with a four-star father (and grandfather), his family's pull was applied and the cut was lowered to let him slip through. They lowered it a little extra to allow a few more guys to graduate so McCain wouldn't be the bottom graduate in his class.
It's true that he was a bit carefree, had too much fun, and didn't apply himself as he should have. Just wonder what happened to graduates 895-899 who got a free ride thanks to McCain.
None of this means much and it will not keep me from voting for him to ensure we don't get Hillary or Obama in office and saddle us with a 25-year liberal SCOTUS if they get the chance.
Yes - I forgot the smiley ;-)
I will go out and more than vote for Conservatives on my ticket. Sadly, those will be lower than state level with the district I’ve been gerrymandered into.
Hmmm. Some are saying Ohio is a lost cause for all the corruption lately.
What has happened in the past decade is that many states once competitive are now so solidly Democrat that the GOP is shut out of putting together 270 electoral votes. GWB had sixteen to spare and was dependent totally on OH, which leans Democrat. Any talk of PA or WI being competitive is that, “talk”, not reality.
“The internals were interesting. Of those conservatives who said they would never vote for McCain 63% knew in their hearts they would, come November.”
Explain? Mccain-leaning ‘undecided’? conservatives playing coy to get mccain to woo us a bit?
conservatives need to help other conservatives:

When republicans find their conservative God that is 99/44 100% pure let me know..in the meantime I am voting for McCain and its a no brainer.
Only a fool would refuse to admit there arent any differences between John McCain and Hillary/Obama.
