After his campaign rally in Cincinnati today, Republican presidential candidate John McCain apologized for remarks by conservative WLW talk show host Bill Cunningham that McCain said he thought were offensive to Democratic candidate Barack Obama.

McCain didn’t get to be the old, mean dog that he is by lying on the track when something like the Obamarama is rolling down it. He is looking towards a cabinet position in Hussein’s administration. Democrats stick together.

What cracks me up is this is a guy who apparently never passes up a chance to say “F U” in private to his opponents, but then whines about the lack of civility in political debates.

I have advocated folks to get out and vote for McCain in November, I've been flamed, called a troll and a few other things. McCain needs to knock this stuff off, every time he does the work of the Dems in the media he makes it more and more difficult for me to respond to a fellow FReeper with a coherent reason for choosing the Republican’s democratic nominee over the Democrats democratic nominee. I want to defeat Obama this election, but McCain just seems to keep giving me ammunition to stay home. Silence with regards to what talk show hosts are saying would be preferable. Every time I read something like this, its like getting an additional plate of egg all over my face. Its bad enough I have to selectivly forget that McCain came to John Kerry's resue and attacked the Swift Boaters. Its a long way to November, I believe McCain can beat Obama, if he shuts up.

Sorry, but McCain IS an insulting jerk to just about anyone who doesn’t agree with him, including fellow Senators who have to put up with his obscenity laced screaming retorts on the Senate floor itself.

And do McCain a favor and stop with the endless re-parading of his service in Vietnam.
I got pretty tired of hearing how Kerry served in Vietnam - and got 3 medals, don’t you know - and this is little different...

Of course McCain's service was infinitely more real than John Kerry's, but it is also telling how close the two are when Kerry himself explores the possibility of the two running together.
