I haven’t read this article yet but I read a long piece about her in Newsweek and it seems to me that she went to college and decided to study HERSELF, and write a thesis about HERSELF, and then she went forward as an adult to declare that the only time she has ever been proud of her country is when they put her up on a pedestal as the MOST IMPORTANT WOMAN IN AMERICA.

What an egotistical, sanctimonious, narcissistic POS.

Frankly, I’d rather have Hillary.

I went to Princeton in the ‘70s (white male, no money). It was weird to say the least. The strangest thing was the racial tension. The black students and the white students were completely hostile to each other. I was walking back to my dorm one night and I was trying to read something I was carrying, so I moved to the right to try to see it under the streetlamp. While I was doing this, two black women were walking in the other direction. I guess they thought that I was trying to avoid them. They made some remark like “sure whitey give us plenty of room” or something like that. I was literally speechless. It was such an uncomfortable, embarassing situation that I just kept walking.

I think MO was at Princeton only a few years after I was there.

I read her thesis. It struck me that as the newest "smartest woman in America" she is remarkably stupid to have expected anything else from such a large group of liberals, and yet she remains a liberal. Liberals determine a person's value and station by their membership in a particular group. It is liberals who first recognize color. It makes them feel better personally to mingle with others because of their color. You can recognize these liberals after college, they live in tony white communities like the Hamptons or Beacon Hill or Bel Air.

Their children have few "colored" friends. The folks in their circles who aren't white are usually holding a microphone, a tray or hedge clippers.

I made another comment yesterday that at the age of 35, all I had been told all my life is how race is irrelevant. Now all of a sudden it means EVERYTHING. As a child born after MLK Jr., I am confused.

I went to a less prestigious school than Princeton. From 1978 to 1983 I attended a large university in a large US city. I was never aware of racial tension at the time. I had a number of black friends. It was no big deal. We had been told that race was irrelevant and -- as far as I could see -- people acted like it.

I recently re-visited the school and in conversation with people I learned that racial tensions were very high. Whites avoided blacks. Blacks were aggressive toward whites. Clearly, race means a lot more there now than it used to.

I agree with larry Elder: white racism is pretty much a non-factor now. It's dead. But black racism is an enormous problem. Michelle Obama is a primae example of this sort of racism.

Funny, I live next to Princeton. I basically see nearly half the campus being comprised of international students, with the other half being brainiac (a high compliment) white and Asian kids, with a smattering of black kids. They don't have the "black dorms" like Cornell does.

Obama’s thesis offers two main theories: that blacks at Princeton often no longer have their family nearby, to whom they had previously been able to vent their “frustrations” with white society; and that blacks’ needs aren’t met by the university, which caters to the white majority.

Would someone explain to me just what "needs" a person such as Ms. Obama has that are so much different from any other human being on this planet that the rest of the world has to make a special effort to "meet" them.

I think you are right. I want to be ‘right’, and I can still be a moral person without thinking my race is bad or that I should treat someone different BECAUSE of their race. But I should lose the idea that race doesn’t matter.

Michelle Obama hasn’t said one thing about the US before the year 2007 that would make her proud to be a citizen of the greatest nation in the history of mankind that has placed her amongst the most privileged of the elite in this country.

I never thought that I would see a spouse of a presidential candidate who was more of a radical, narcissistic, arrogant, hubristic, self-entitled, and maddening solipsist than Hilary Clinton. To the nation’s dismay, I think we have found her. She is the loose cannon Benito Mussolini face of liberal fascism that Barack Hussein Obama is so careful to hide. Barack Obama is more practiced at keeping the mask up. But in the liberal Hyde Park ghetto that she lives in in Chicago, attending cocktail parties with her coterie of liberal U of C academics, Black South Side DemonRat pols, public sector sinecures, NGO flacks and liberal Sun Times columnists, EVERBODY she knows thinks and feels this way. She was probably SHOCKED at the firestorm that has ensued.
