RE: Obama Must-Wins
The media has anointed Barack Obama the presumptive nominee and hes playing the part.
With an eleven state winning streak coming out of February, Senator Obama is riding a surge of momentum that has enabled him to pour unprecedented resources into Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island and Vermont.
The Obama campaign and its allies are outspending us two to one in paid media and have sent more staff into the March 4 states. In fact, when all is totaled, Senator Obama and his allies have outspent Senator Clinton by a margin of $18.4 million to $9.2 million on advertising in the four states that are voting next Tuesday.
Senator Obama has campaigned hard in these states. He has spent time meeting editorial boards, courting endorsers, holding rallies, and - of course - making speeches.
If he cannot win all of these states with all this effort, theres a problem.
Should Senator Obama fail to score decisive victories with all of the resources and effort he is bringing to bear, the message will be clear:
Democrats, the majority of whom have favored Hillary in the primary contests held to date, have their doubts about Senator Obama and are having second thoughts about him as a prospective standard-bearer.

Ickles is firmly in charge now. - This is classic Ickles.
I will not be surprised by delegate challenges , lawsuits , witness subpoenas and or indictments , third party insurgencies , or people waking up dead .
All depends on the definition of decisive, now doesn't it? I bet it is defined in a Mar 5, 2008 memo.
Good Lord!
If these polls are close, then she could be toast. (sorry)
Really, nobody is going to say a huge black turnout is queering the primary there.
Not really. Obama's current lead in delegates is actually small, and there is still quite a ways to go yet. Obama's argument for being almost guaranteed to win comes from him winning a string of victories.
However, the majority of core Democrats have been voting for Hillary. It's the more easily swayed independents that have been going for Obama. However, Obama's campaign really doesn't have much substance to it, and those independent voters can be a fickle group.
It still possible for the tide to turn back toward Clinton, though the media is working pretty hard against her, so it would likely take something pretty shocking and damaging to Obama's campaign to swing things her way. However, she would be foolish to just give up before Obama has clinched the nomination.
Hillary will win Ohio and that will give her enough reason to stay in ...
My thoughts exactly. - Anyone here counting out any Clinton is insane.
As Seinfeld said, “She’s got man hands!”
She did. And that might be the clue that makes you dig further into the nature of the Matrix.
Hillary is not out by any means, no matter what the news people say, and the MSM is still just ... the MSM.
I could crap a more effective plan than that. Good grief.
Delusional. Seriously.
Is this the best Ickes can do?
Oh nooooo ... I should have clicked off of this nightmare thread after #19! ... I hate spiders ... why did it have to be spiders?
Maybe, but she was also 20 million in debt for all her other mismanagement of funds in other states, particularly Iowa and New Hampshire. She blew 2/3 thirds of her funds in those two places alone. She expected surges of money from other states once she won the first two. Which did not happen.
Obama has managed his funds very well and has emerged the strongest candidate as a result. Can you imagine how Hillary would handle the Federal budget after seeing how she runs a campaign?
Huma got a real kick outta that one.
