Get a magic jack and get rid of your landline home phone. These are neat little gizmos that plug into the USB port on your computer and a regular telephone and allow you to make free calls over the internet. You need a high speed internet connection. These really do work and for $40.00 for the first year and $20.00 a year thereafter, the price is right.
Every dollar you save that your would otherwise spend is a dollar earned, tax free.

Invest in DRIPS, Pay off your short term debt and then attack your long term debt, if you don't think that you can afford it, you can't.

I am sorry, I will live as I like. It works for me, no debt and plenty of assets.
I buy what I need and don’t worry about the price. Just so long as I can increase my financial net worth by $120K every year, I don’t sweat the small stuff.

What phone do you use? Do they issue you a new one?
And thanks for that info.

I got rid of my landline home phone a few months after getting my first cell phone.
It seemed like a really traumatic decision to make at the time, but truth is I have never missed it.

You’re welcome. Please feel free to post a tip. Here’s another:
Shop the weekly loss-leaders at grocery stores. The food you get will vary, so maybe you’ll be getting t-bone steaks this week and porkchops next. Then buy your non-sale items at a deep discounter like Wal-mart, trader joe, or Aldi.

We only have a Mortgage and that is by choice. We have a 2 year income reserve and if we ever get old enough, our retirement is set.

“Do they issue you a new one?”
No. You provide your own handset. I just used a cheap handset I had laying around. It works fine. They do issue you a phone number to receive incoming calls. It might not be in your local area code, but it works.
And you’re welcome.
