He tapped me for the full monty. We have not even received a single word from Fred since he quit. I am extremely disappointed that he did not stay engaged in the Conservative debate as a member. These are “times that try men’s souls”.

Well of course. The GOP is so out of touch with conservatives, what do they expect?

There is no reason to waste money on a race already decided. McCain is the nominee and he sucks.
The ‘lesser of two evils’ argument fails.
It’s what we did for ‘W’ - look how he failed to clean out Clintonistas or even acknowledge their sabatage. Even handed
them victory after victory (No Child Left Behind, McCain-Feingold, no action against illegals, etc.) while chanting the mantra of ‘bi-partisanship’ and good feelings. In the end, he stood passively by while they destroyed his plans, programs, reputation, Republican conservatives, etc.
He let the whole strategy in Iraq be undermined by the State Dept., Clinton holdovers, and the likes of Carl Levin and Jay Rockefeller. He is abandoning Israel. He and his father repeatedly give creditability and honor impeached ex-President Clinton, he ignored Sandy Berger and allowed prosecution and conviction of Libby for a non-crime.
READ SHADOW WARRIORS by Kenneth R. Timmerman. President Bush and his government did NOTHING to stop or prevent the complete subversion of the post-invasion by enemies of America and him within our own government, media and government agencies!

Hey, do you have an ‘I’ll be watching you’ list? I have a few names of Republican socialist apologists that belong on there.

My theory- Fred the globalist was only there to siphon support from Hunter.
Just a cynical theory, that’s all.

I didn't want to just "sit out" this election, so I found a good contribution themed sign for the GOP:

Yeah, Republicans will still donate to the McCain campaign come August and itll be business as usualIf McCain doesn't self-destruct before August.
And this thread might be insight towards that potential. No one wants to donate to a McCain candidacy, and Soros isn't going to go out of his way to contribute to McCain now that he's "heir apparent" for the GOP.
However by June/July, some higher-ups in the party may start getting nervous when they find their expensed meals are relegated to McD's and Denny's rather than Ruth-Chris and Vick's. McCain will respond with his usual sensitivity and self-restraint:

"The next 60 days is all about defining Obama in a way Clinton was never able to do," Reed said. "The big crowds, the curiosity factor and the high platitude speeches have worked _ it's a true movement. But can the wave keep a crest all the way to November? I don't think so. It's impossible." BDS has been at a fever pitch for the past 7+ years. It's not only possible, it's going to be tsunami like in proportions.
Maybe the GOP weenies can siphon money off illegals sending their cash back to Mexico because they damned sure aren't getting anymore of my money to waste propping up a liberal candidate.

“I do hope that conservatives are donating to conservative senate/congressional candidates.”
Yes, many of us are. I return everything from the RNC with a note telling them I will not contribute nationally, until conservative values are demonstrated. ALL my donations will go to senators like Jeff Sessions, AL, Jim. DeMint, SC, and Rep. Jeff Miller, FL, even though I don’t live in their voting districts.

Apparently some RINOs are feeling the heat.
Susan Collins has made an ad that whines about Moveon.org targeting her. The trouble with Susan Collins using the troops to raise money is the fact that she voted against the surge. I have used her as an example every time the RNC calls my home asking for money. Why should I support anyone who would not send in reinforcements while I had a son in Iraq?

This comes under the heading of “No $hit”. I sent my annual rather substantial political contributions to the GOA and my local Congressman this year. The Rep party and Juan McCain can kiss my a$$. In the last two years they have called me racist, bigoted, rubbed my face in the $hit left behind by the invaders and in general just pi$$ed me off. I will not give a thin Amero to them for a long time.

Is this a surprise to anyone?
McCain only wants our money and our vote. Otherwise, if you are a conservative it’s “shut-up and get to the back of the bus!”
As for the Congress-critters, you have to carefully pick and choose lest your donation get used for a wimpy RINO like Graham.
Best to keep the wallet closed this turn, or give directly to a proven conservative.

Do you think once the democrats finally select their nominee that the disparity between the fund-raising efforts of the GOP and the democrats will magically disappear?
More likely that when the time comes the Democrat fundraising well will be dry.
Look at how, much money the Hillary! and Obama are both raising, and spending, in order to win the nomination. IIRC between the two of them they'd both raised over $200 million before the primaries started, and from the looks of it they're close to having raised another $100 million between the two of them since the primaries started.
That money's gotta be coming from somewhere, and it's gotta be coming in from people who are now hitting the legal limit on how much they can donate.

But, but.... I thought Republicans were the “moneybags” politicians...
Of course, that isn’t factoring in the anger with the Republican Party in general by former donors....

I just don’t see McCain generating the enthusiasm needed to really rake in contributions. I know quite a few normally reliable Republican donors who will not.
