“Well, he seemed so nice...”

LOL, that reminds me of the news coverage after a shooting or sudden jihad syndrome event. Everyone is shocked, he seemed so nice.

And what about after Obama assumes the Presidency? What will the union people and "working families" say after Obama raises their taxes to the limit?

What will people wanting "change" say when that change alters the power balance in the world for the worse?

He seemed so nice.

You pretty much summed up how I feel as well. Either way, we are screwed and I was thinking this morning that it will be at least four years before the pendulum swings back to some fundamental sanity about what the purpose of government is.

I do fear it will be a long time coming. One only has to look at how willing the sheeple are to accept GOREBAL Warning as truth and allow the government to tax the piss out of us and regulate business to death to reverse something that probably is either irreversible or never existed in the first place.

It will take a long time before that mentality, the nanny-state mind set, is flushed from the population.

I don’t know. I agree he has nice teeth and he’s young, tall and handsome, but I’ve actually listened to his speeches, and I don’t find him all that articulate. Then again, politicians only have to to tell a convincing enough lie to HOPE-NOTISE the masses.

Republicans like Sen. Barack Obama nearly as much as they like their own likely presidential nominee, Sen. John McCain

Idiots.

What does that say about how Republicans feel about McCain. Maybe we’re look at this all wrong. Nearly 75% of Republicans DON’T find McCain most likable.

I agree, this does not pass the smell test. This sounds like they polled Bloomberg “Republicans” in New York.

What does that say about how Republicans feel about McCain.

Doesn't matter how they 'feel' - it says they are idiots. They are either extremely liberal and shouldn't be registered as Republicans at all, or they are too stupid to look at the two candidates' records and understand that Obama is WAY more liberal than McCain ever thought of being.

Either way, they are morons.

Republicans like Sen. Barack Obama nearly as much as they like their own likely presidential nominee, Sen. John McCain, according to a new Fox 5/The Washington Times/Rasmussen Reports poll.

Ok, _ell just froze over — I voted for Hillary. I saw a very interesting scenario at my polling place in this HIGHLY Republican county. The polling place was separated into two sides: obviously Democrat and Republican. There was a LONG line at the Democrat table and the poor Republican guys at the Republican table were twiddling their thumbs. This could mean one of two things: 1) Republicans aren’t voting in the primary because they aren’t excited about John McCain and/or 2) There are a LOT of us voting in the Democrat primary. For some reason they had only 2 voting machines on the Democrat side and they had 4 machines set up on the Republican side. The machines on the Repub. side were not being used so I asked if I could use one of those machines. They said I had to use the voting machines on the Democrat side even there were 4 voting machines open on the other side of the room. POLITICS!

I’m not surprised. There isn’t that much different between the two and the GOP has become Dem-lite. If they were companies, the Dems would just buy the GOP and cut costs.

Yes, and Slick Willy was likable. Being likable and someone you could vote for are two different things.

Anything I can do to help extend the chaos, confusion and infighting among the DemoRats, just makes my day

I'll be doing the same. I cannot believe it, but I'll be voting for the beast.

This poll is BS. The media is full of social engineers who trying to manipulate public opinion. The days when they actually reported the news is long gone.

“The news and truth are not the same thing.”
~~Walter Lippmann, American journalist, 1889-1974

“We tell the people what they need to know,
not what they want to know.” ~~Frank Sesno, CNN News

“Our job is to give people not what they want,
but what we decide they ought to have.”
~Richard Salent, former President of CBS News.

“I feel sorry for the man who,
after reading the daily newspaper,
goes to bed believing he knows
something of what’s going on in the world.”
-— Henry Louis Mencken (1880-1956)

“We are going to impose our agenda on the coverage by dealing with issues and subjects that we choose to deal with.” — Richard M. Cohen, former Senior Producer of CBS political news
