When is the press' fascination with Republicans and Obama going to end? Republicans seem to no longer be conservatives and the party seems to no longer share the values of the Reagan movement. At least that's how I see it.

And the freshness is a complete "BARF"!

When people hear Obama giving one of his “scripted” speeches, he does sound good. As soon as people find out what the heck he really means by the fluffy rhetoric, the bloom goes off the rose.

Well this is one Republican playing “Democrat for a Day” today; and I’m not voting for Obama ;) if you know what I mean.

If the poll is simply likability then I believe it.

Obama can be very likable, but that doesn't mean Republicans agree with his political positions.

23% LIKABILITY is now somehow a plus?

"There is something about Barack Obama that is hard to capture in polling and it's an enthusiasm, it's a freshness, it's an excitement he can generate that will certainly be a factor in the campaign," said pollster Scott Rasmussen.

Again, how does 23% equal an overwhelming, statewide, enormous, warm, squishy feeling? If you looked at the news for the past few years of W's presidency, 23% demonstrates an overwhelming disapproval of a person.

"The survey determined that a quarter of self-identified Republicans rated Mr. McCain most likable, but nearly as many — 23 percent — chose Mr. Obama as most likable."

I agree Obama seems very likeable. McCain comes across as a grumpy old fart.

"Likeble" does not qualify someone to be president.

There is a difference between people you like to have a beer with and the person you want running the country.

"... Mr. Obama was rated likable by more people than Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Mr. McCain combined..."

So was Mr. Yuck.

Here's to grumpy old farts! They make the world turn. Fresh likable idiots are the drunk drivers of politics, right off the road and into the tree.

I can promise that if Obama gets the nomination, the media is going to herald the “Historic First Black President”. There will be no real investigation or vetting of the candidate.

People will line up in droves to be a part of history, spineless RINOs as well. What will make things even worse for consertvatives is that with a margin of GOP support his liberal agenda will be heralded as having a mandate that coes from both sides of the aisle!!!!

I'm with you, friend. In about 2 hours, I going to be going to the polls and vote for The Beast.

Anything I can do to help extend the chaos, confusion and infighting among the DemoRats, just makes my day

It will be the first time in 44 years (since I voted for LBJ) that I will be voting for a Dhummie.

Anyone who claims to be a R and admits they like Barack ("Peace Be Upon His Middle No Name") Obama has got to be a RINO--no doubt in my mind!!!!

which is why I don;t refer to myself as a Republican. The majority of the party, inlcuding the finger-in-the-winders like “Republican” talkers Hannity and no pronciple party/power hacks.

You can rationalize all you want. A vot for Mccain is a vote for liberalism and the further decay of our our country’s founding principles and soverignty.

Screw Mccain and the Republican party — My plan. protect my own family/job/finances and hunker down for the next four years. Hopefully then enough of us will wise up and elect a person truly honorable enough to hold the mantle of President of the United States.

I'll admit it, I find Obama most likable too. And young and fresh and articulate and exciting, etc. I like to listen to his speeches.

But he won't get my vote. I know about his voting record, his past, his church, his alliances, and what he would likely do as President. Also, experience does count, and Obama doesn't have the mettle to protect this country.

So yes, Obama is the most likable candidate. Especially if you like a socialist, ex-Muslim, cut-and-run, apologist, Palestinian-supporting newbie.
