Can someone explain why everyone on this thread is badmouthing Huckabee and what they hope to accomplish doing it?
I’m thinking DU disruption.
Well, there’s plenty on these threads badmouthing John McCain.
just shakin my head
The bottom line is I can not vote for Huckabee in Pa.:(
Nope just DIsgust at another conservative with no record of support for Reagan, no record of family support for the military, and in this case a record of using a wedding vow renewal as a vehicle to furnish his home.
I don’t know. It looks terrible.
Bash Huckabee all you want, but now we are stuck with John McCain.
I'd sure like to know too!! I guess they are strong " conservative John McCain supporters!"..love gay marriages, and liberal views of Johnny boy!
Suspect that either: a)depends on the time of day, or b) freepers keep their hands (mouths) shut when the comments aren't on their side, and then chime in when they do. Sort of leads to lopsided threads, both ways. More should be such as this one, with a fair amount of comments for both sides.
For the record, agree that badmouthing Huckabee is bad taste. His running was completely legitimate. If McCain had to work a teensy bit harder, then that might just toughen him up for the big fight against the Democrat nominee.
He is fun to badmouth. Don’t worry, he will make plenty of money from his book and won’t worry about how us Freepers feel... or, the good of the nation.
Scripture answers that question quite clearly:
"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated Me before it hated you. Ror, if ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept My saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for My name's sake, because they know not HIM that sent Me."
Jesus AD33, (John 15:18-21)
I don’t get it either. Huckabee gave a heck of a good speech and off the cuff too. He’s a great speaker and I’ll miss that. Yes, he should have gotten out earlier, but he followed through and did what he said he would do.
Welcome to GOP 2008. That's the face of it. The Constitution Party should seize this opportunity.
“Im thinking DU disruption.”
You’re thinking too much.
Huck wasted everybody’s time, including his own, more so when it was obvious that McCain just needed a heaping handful of delegates to win the nomination.
He’s got 200 something delegates and what’s he going to do with that?
May I point out that many of us, perhaps most of us, saw Huckabee as a nanny-statist, illegal-loving stooge? If he hadn't gotten traction with the so-called 'values voters' whose main criterion for the Presidency is having a plastic fish on the back of one's car, Fred Thompson might have had a fighting chance to win the nomination away from Juan McInsane.
Good riddance to the Huckster, may he spend the rest of his life in deserved obscurity.
What do we “hope to accomplish”? DU disruptors? How about just a bunch of people who are glad to see him finally forced from the stage. When I think of his run, the word “selfish” comes to mind.
As best I can tell, the Huckabee Haters consist primarily of.
