Report: NAFTA-Gate Leaker Said Hillary's People Were Reassuring Canada, Too

The NAFTA-Gate controversy has taken another turn, one that could potentially boomerang back on Hillary Clinton after initially damaging Barack Obama.

The Canadian Press — Canada's domestic equivalent of the AP — is reporting that the original source of the leak was Ian Brodie, chief of staff to Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper. And as it turns out, Brodie's original conversation with reporters focused much more on Hillary as the candidate whose people were reassuring Canada that the anti-trade rhetoric was all just campaign talk.

"He said someone from Clinton's campaign is telling the Embassy to take it with a grain of salt," said one participant in the conversation. The source added, "someone called us and told us not to worry."

Hillary's people were able to use NAFTA-Gate very effectively in questioning Obama's honesty in the Ohio and Texas campaigns, ultimately pulling off some decent wins. But if this thing doesn't die down, and the focus turns from Obama over to Hillary, they could very well see the story come back to bite them.

This sounds like a set up of Hillary to give cover to Obama.

How can the American people be so freaking stupid to keeping giving Hillary the win? I just can’t believe it.

I can’t believe it either. Makes me sick. They’re a bunch of effing Perpetual Victims.

So older women apparently put her over the top yesterday. These women “identify with her”. Sheesh....how stupid can you be. Hillary would mow them down like weeds if she thought they were in her way....or had been accosted by her husband.

The very first reportings of the calls mentioned both Hillary and O’Bama’s teams making these calls. The MSM and a lot of the internet chose to focus on O’Bama and not Hillary. Just more of the Clintons calling in their markers and using their files.

It’s not *the American people”,it is the Democrat Party followers. The ones I have spoken with think Hillary is more centrist than O’Bambi. They “could never vote Republican”, but are considering McCain, if BO wins the primary.

If this *recession* is the next global Depression, then everyone is going to have little choice other than to sell their vote for food and warmth.

This nation has survived so much. I pray we survive the next decade.

hitlery got crossover votes, that’s why she won by not that much. If you take a look at the Texas caucuses where only party members can vote, Obama won. hitlery didn’t. That is the true democrat vote. Not the election where independents and republicans crossed over thinking it would be better to run against hitlery than it would Obama which is ludicrous because she has no compunction about lying, cheating, stealing and murdering to get what she wants.
