He was just showing his patriotism ghetto style — with his hand on his junk.

Ever since Jon Cary was “swiftboated” by “Karl Rove and the VRWC” it has become taboo to tell the TRUTH about a democrat!

I know what you are saying

I served in the USAF for 7 years...joined before I was a US citizen...

Every time I hear the National Anthem or recite the Pledge of Allegance I get a thrill and am thankful I am a citizen of the country I love..

I cant imagine anyone not loving and appreciating America...but there are some...

Why they dont leave and go to live in the countries that are “good” is a mystery...

but Alec Baldwin is still here...among others...

Nana, he would have been 18 in ‘79 and would have been required to register in ‘80 if my understanding is correct.

someone was wondering if he ever did register...

I know it was important during the draft...

There’s been no draft since 1973..

But here’s something interesting from Wiki

“The registration requirement was suspended in April 1975, but reinstituted in 1980”

Wonder if his 18th birthday in 1979 fell in a cozy spot for Obama and he was not required to register ????

He was a great patriot, and he taught me that you put your hand over your heart during the Pledge, and you sing during the Anthem. That’s what I did that day, as I have done countless times before.

Flag Etiquette

The Salute

To salute, all persons come to attention. Those in uniform give the appropriate formal salute. Citizens not in uniform salute by placing their right hand over the heart and men with head cover should remove it and hold it to left shoulder, hand over the heart. Members of organizations in formation salute upon command of the person in charge.

The Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem

The pledge of allegiance should be rendered by standing at attention, facing the flag, and saluting. When the national anthem is played or sung, citizens should stand at attention and salute at the first note and hold the salute through the last note. The salute is directed to the flag, if displayed, otherwise to the music.
