Rasmussen – Obama support drops
Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Poll ^ | Saturday, March 15, 2008 | Rasmussen Poll

Posted on 03/15/2008 11:23:34 AM PDT by GVnana

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton essentially even in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. It’s Obama 46% Clinton 45% (see recent daily results). This reflects an unusually sharp change from yesterday’s results when Obama led by eight points and reached the 50% level of support for the first time. Daily tracking results are collected via nightly telephone surveys and reported on a four-day rolling average basis. Last night’s results were very favorable for Clinton and it remains to be seen whether this marks a lasting change in the race or is merely statistical noise. Single night results are based upon very small samples and are more volatile than the overall tracking poll.

Looking to November, John McCain now holds a slight lead over both Democrats in the General Election. It’s McCain 47% Obama 42% and McCain 46% Clinton 42% (see recent daily results). It appears that Clinton’s challenges to Obama may be helping McCain at least in the short-term. McCain’s polling numbers against Obama began improving during the run-up to the hard-fought Democratic Primaries in Ohio and Texas. Obama has a three-percentage point edge over McCain among unaffiliated voters but is currently supported by just 65% of Democrats. By way of comparison, McCain earns the vote from 80% of Republicans.

So long as there are ignorant, non-productive masses on the Planet, there will be Democrats.

Try Pissant for starters.

But then I expected before hand that you would doubt it without first looking into it for yourself.

That’s a good article. You should post it as it’s own thread.

What worries me about this whole scenario and how it is spinning rapidly out of control is the rumor that Mc Cain has plenty of skeletons in his closet as well, including an alleged rape coverup in 2000.Think of what the pro-Hillary feminists could do with THAT one.
Yet I wonder what the GOP oppositional research groups have dug up on Hillary from her past with the Panther-Yale defense committees from the 1970 era.Maybe they are saving this stuff up for October.
I think Rush needs to stop dispensing voting advice and let the primaries play themselves out.Yet I know he’s a mischief maker and heart and just can’t help himself!

Obama cannot undo twenty years of close relationship by purging the man from his campaign. Only a non-church goer would ever think that he could.

Far left Obama supporters don’t understand the shock value that the Wright remarks have on the middle of the road white person, because the lefties hear this kind of speech all the time. The suburban limousine liberals thought that they were ready for a “nice clean”, articulate Black man for president. Now they think that Obama is just another con artist politician and they are going to start taking a closer look at the other movers and shakers in the Democrat party, who may be spouting the same kind of hate.

I never said McCain would win easily. He should, but who knows. I don’t even know if he will win at all. And I don’t care.

I think people believe that hillary is easier to beat than barak. But I don’t know if they’ve been saying she’s easy to beat. “easier” and “easy” aren’t quite the same thing.

“The danger I see is that if the people think hillary won because of the republicans”

This isn’t going to happen, since the story became big in March. The Dem establishment has to wait several months to choose between Hillary and Obama — the choice will be theirs and theirs alone, and will be perceived as such.

Because the Democrats' delegates are awarded "proportionally," it is very unlikely that The Evil One will overcome Obama's lead in pledged delegates.

They are only about 100-120 delegates apart. Puerto Rico awards its delgates all-or-nothing (about 66). If she wins Puerto Rico as expected she'll only need another 60 or so to take the lead.

1. Cite the posting.

2. Is pissant involved in this thread? No. And you were clearly addressing people participating in this discussion today.

3. Quit making unfounded claims.

Political junkies like ourselves see it that way, but 85% of the public are too preoccupied to know that it even happened, much less they care.

Time will tell, but I predict it will be seldom mentioned from here on out. Even another Spitzer-like event seems to only last a day or two these days. Shucks, a week later and few people remember it ever happened.

“Time will tell, but I predict it will be seldom mentioned from here on out.”

I disagree. We now have material for some GREAT campaign commercials.

It was on another thread. But you assume what ever you like. I know you will anyway. I saw it for myself and I don’t need to validate everything for the likes of you. What I saw is good enough to qualify as my opinion.

I dunno. I think it might be a mistake to think that people think rationally.

Sorry to drag you into something this petty, but I have been on so many threads today and read so many comments, I can’t recall every single post or where I read them. I still stand by my original claim however, There are several posters who made the claim that McCain would win easily, on this forum.
