Rasmussen – Obama support drops
Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Poll ^ | Saturday, March 15, 2008 | Rasmussen Poll

Posted on 03/15/2008 11:23:34 AM PDT by GVnana

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton essentially even in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. It’s Obama 46% Clinton 45% (see recent daily results). This reflects an unusually sharp change from yesterday’s results when Obama led by eight points and reached the 50% level of support for the first time. Daily tracking results are collected via nightly telephone surveys and reported on a four-day rolling average basis. Last night’s results were very favorable for Clinton and it remains to be seen whether this marks a lasting change in the race or is merely statistical noise. Single night results are based upon very small samples and are more volatile than the overall tracking poll.

Looking to November, John McCain now holds a slight lead over both Democrats in the General Election. It’s McCain 47% Obama 42% and McCain 46% Clinton 42% (see recent daily results). It appears that Clinton’s challenges to Obama may be helping McCain at least in the short-term. McCain’s polling numbers against Obama began improving during the run-up to the hard-fought Democratic Primaries in Ohio and Texas. Obama has a three-percentage point edge over McCain among unaffiliated voters but is currently supported by just 65% of Democrats. By way of comparison, McCain earns the vote from 80% of Republicans.

You just can’t reason with an insane person. That definitely belongs on a bumper sticker.

Probably something you understand very little about.

Have you been following Wall Street lately? Like in the last year or so?

-Because the Democrats’ delegates are awarded “proportionally,” it is very unlikely that The Evil One will overcome Obama’s lead in pledged delegates. If such a lead exists when the convention begins, Obama’s supporters would be more than outraged if he doesn’t get the nomination.—

If Obama goes into the convention with more delegates than Cankles, if the superdelegates go Cankles way and Obama gets robbed, it will be “Burn, baby, burn” in Denver. The superdelegates realize this, and will “feel compelled to go along with popular will” (i.e. side with Obama). By Convention time, gasoline will be over $4 gallon, food prices will be rising, and NO presidential candidate (certainly not a broken down old warhorse like McCranky) with an (R) next to his name will have a snowball’s chance of victory in November.

MOST IMPORTANT -— Obama never says what statements he is against. Wright has so many statements that are appalling. Which ones are Obama against. Obama says he never heard Wright say those statements when he spent 20 years in church. Which statements had he never heard before, exactly. I think he is parsing. I think he as heard most of those statements in one form or another.

His wife has never been proud of her country before. Is Obama saying that she never heard her pastor say any discouraging words about America?

During this past week we had the single biggest up day in over 5 years. The sort of choppiness we’re experiencing is more indicative of bottoms than crashes. Sober up.

Puerto Rico awards its delegates all-or-nothing (about 66).

All pledged delegates for the Democrats are awarded proportionally. No of their primaries or caucuses are winner take all.

I wonder who actually watches Matthews, Olbermann etc. These shows probably do as well ratingswise as “Fishing with Bill Dance” or “Jack Van Impe.” At least Dance and Van Impe are amusing.

I think that you’re wrong because Obama had the attention of that 85% of the people who are not political junkies and he wrote in his books about the wonderful influence of his mentor and religious adviser Jeremiah Wright. He can’t take back those words. Too bad that he didn’t read the book that he claimed to have written, or he would have remembered those words.

Okay...

I’ll concede she wouldn’t have gone quietly — but she was on her way out the door....she would have been GONE. Out of the race..

Rush’s strategy kept her alive......

The Marine Corps taught me one thing most responsible for my survival to my very ripe old age. When your enemy enters your “sight picture”, pull the trigger....several times.
NEVER give your enemy an even break..
The ONLY fair fight is where the enemy dies and you live.
KILL him as quickly and as surely as you can — whenever you can....by whatever means at hand.

We didn’t do this with Hillary!

I’ll also concede that there probably isn’t a Republican in Congress with enough balls to throw the truth at Obama and let him choke to death on it.

Reason? Too many of the bastards have skeletons of their own lurking in the closet they don’t wish rattled..

BUT — Kerry was destroyed by PRIVATE CITIZENS with the truth..
The Swift Boat Veterans For Truth...

Do you not believe there are not enough Americans of conscious who could expose Obama for the provable fraud he is?

If McCain has neither the will nor the spine for it — then that is another point proving him incapable of serving the post he pursues.

I’m a Rush “ditto head” myself most of the time — however, I don’t believe him to be omnipotent...
This time he allowed a dangerous enemy to escape, to fight again and perhaps win the day.

I’m talking about a 25% loss over all since the first of the year. And I was referring to the coming effect that is projected for the second quarter. Emphatically speaking of course.

But you were just looking for a flame war, in which the subject is irrelevant. So disregard a further exchange on the subject.

I realize you would love to have people turn on Obama, and so would I, but few people who admire a man like Obama will be quick to judge his personality with that of his Pastor. And his book has only sold to a few million readers and is not exactly textbook reading in our schools quite yet.

When we are talking 120 million voters, that only works out to about 1 or 2 % of the voters who have read his book. And of those, only a few of them will resent him or see any contradiction.

Pardon me, I forgot to address your last comment:

"The Repubs are too scared. Let Clinton Inc. do the dirty work."

If the Repubs are too scared of an easy target like Obama, where in Hell are they going for the courage to fight a TRULY worthy and vicious infighter like Hillary?

Hillary will eat the sissies alive, smash their bones to suck out the marrow and pick her teeth with the slivers!

SHE is the adversary they should fear, NOT Obama!

All pledged delegates for the Democrats are awarded proportionally. No of their primaries or caucuses are winner take all.

Technically true. However Puerto Rico's local Dem leadership customarily pledges their 63 delegates all-or-nothing, presumably to boost their national influence. See http://www.usnews.com/blogs/barone/2008/02/06/puerto-rican-poll-power.html.

Is this permissible under DNC rules? If not, then that could be another screaming match between the Clinton and Obama camps.

Let’s face it. Hillary and Obama are both weak candidates.
