This Wednesday, 3/19/08, there will be a Code Pink candlelight vigil at the Orange Circle in Orange, CA. We countered them last week, but were outnumbered. WE NEED SOME FREEPER HELP!!
Well aware of Syncros efforts
Thanks, I stand corrected.
However, I still hear crickets.
bump for later
You would win that bet. I wasnt at Berkley nor was I at DC. Your point is?
Just want to re-iterate....Code Pinko will be at the Orange Circle in Orange this Wednesday, 3/19, from 5-7:30 p.m. We are trying to counter them, and would like to see a good turnout. Anyone in the area that could come out and help would be greatly appreciated. No he is not.Rottndog,
You are wasting your time.
No one from this board will show up.
How do you know that? With your attitude, why would they want to? I certainly wouldn't want to hang around with you with that attidude. I imagine if I did show up, you would tell me about the ones that didn't.
The keyboard warriors are too busy solving the worlds problems via the keyboard, to stand a couple of hrs on a street. Its too beneath them.
You sound like Coop, who you seem to idolize.
He did more to discourage activism than he ever did to encourage it.
Those "keyboard warrious" as you call them maybe can't get out of the house or work because of family commitments
But they stay close to the computer bumping revelant threads while others are out in the field fighting the America haters in the streets.
Don't discount the hordes of Patriotic Americans that support activism but cannot get to many events.
It doesnt matter that with even 10 of us against 20 of them there is absolute physical safety.
Man, you had good odds, you had them outnumbered big time.
My self and about 8 other Free Republic members (you know, poeple on this board that will NOT go to any event) stood up against 5,000 hateful American hating Palistinians in San Francisco several years ago, and I will tell you we had them outnumbered.
So if you have 10, and the other side has 20, be thankful.
As far as all your "don't matter"'s, it's not so.
It matters, and it is being countered just fine. Sure, the more the merrier, but a positive attitude goes a lot further than a negative one.
Four years ago only one Freeper showed up to support a Blue Star mom.
Your glass seems to be 90% empty.
To that FR person and I would imagine the Blue Star Mother, their glass was 99% FULL.
Every member of this board that is out there in the Belly of The Beast is backed up by tens of thousands of other members (some maybe at their keyboards, watching a couple of kids), and if that Blue Star Mother is anything like the ones I know, she was grateful for the FR member's presence, while you see it as not helpful apparantly. (Were you there?)
Look at WR, Onley, Ft Carlson, Fresno, and Ft Lewis only the same hand full of Freepers do anything.
You don't seem to keep up with much of the Support The Troops rallies that have taken place over the last few years. Or even this year. Compare this list to yours:

There were Free Republic members at
EVERY ONE of those events.
Was it the same "handful" that you are aware of that went to all of those events? No, it was hundreds...actually thousands....of FR people at those events.
Many of them were within easy driving distance of Orange County, how many did you attend?
Hopefully if you didn't attend them, you were at your computer being a "keyboard warrior" (a positive designation, BTW) and bumping the many threads about all those Support The Troops rallies.
What Freeper was at Berkely?
Oh, BTW, that is spelled Berkeley. We affectionately call it Bezerkeley though...
But to answer your question, one of the people that attended was the creator of Free Republic, and his wife and one of his sons.
And many more.
I talked to at least a dozen, and there were many more.
There were several threads on FR about the events at Berkeley. Starting back in Oct of last year, and everyone attended by many members of this board.
am going to prove my point.
I think your point is moot.
If any of you are going to help the vets in Orange this Wed. cheek in and id yourselves.
Well good luck. I hope some "cheek" in with you, or at least show up.
If no other members show up, Stand tall and remember that one Patriot outnumbers thousands of America Hating Terrorist Supporting Moonbats, and be sure to post on your report of the event a hearty thanks for all those that support the troops by posting positive comments on FR.
Of course you do, that's what you want to hear.
I would have to say that this Colorado Freeper did more then you in Berkeley I would bet.And why not?You would win that bet. I wasnt at Berkley nor was I at DC. Your point is?
FR members drove from Colorado to go to the Support The Troops event in Berkeley, why didn't you drive from just down the road in Orange County?
Oh, that's right. No one on this board does anything except you.
How many of the events close to where you live did you attend?
I WISH I could be there. My two oldest children were born at St. Joseph’s in Orange. We were a military family then, out of MCAS El Toro. I will definitely say some prayers for and during this event.
Thanks....
BTW, I lived on MCAS Tustin many years whilst my dad was doing tours abroad. I think for a few months I actually lived on El Toro after I was newly hatched.
Thanks for laying it all out in plain language.
I'm way out here in flat-land middle America. Busy with a full-time job, plus a small-business = working over 14 hrs 6 days a week, plus running a home.
People do what they can from where they reside. Thankfully some people have the time and resources to travel great distances to other states to join Support demonstrations.
You can bet your bottom dollar I'll be at a demonstration to Support Our Troops anywhere in the Greater Kansas City metropolitan area! And I'd probably read about it here at FRee Republic first!
A candlelight vigil is a good thing. I hope Code Pink stands firm against the opposition.
I’m as angry as you are at the inability to get people off their butts. Every Friday night for 4+ years now, I have done a rally in Studio City. There are usually only 2-3 of us, including my boyfriend and I. We’ve put out the word at several places with no long term effect. We didn’t counter ANSWER’s march this year, since I only got 20 people last year. I’m up in LA, and may try to come down, even though the traffic will be bad. I’m also, trying to find out if there is anyone organizing a counter in Hollywood, since the moonbats are doing something there on Wednesday too.
Remember, it is quality versus quantity. They can’t be allowed to be the only voice. NEVER GIVE UP OR BACK DOWN!
You left off Studio City, CA and Woodland Hills, CA. We’re out there every week.
We especially need help in Studio City on Friday night, 6:30pm -7:45 (or when the bats go back to the belfry), SE corner of Ventura at Laurel Canyon.
Check out the recruiters in your area, because the anti-war folks have made Wednesday a national day to take them on. If your town is lucky, and doesn’t have active moonbats, then you can still support them by buying pizza, sandwiches, fast food or movie gift certificates for the recruiters. It will make their day. Just call ahead and tell them and inform them.
LOL, you would be surprised as to my attitude
you sound like Coop,
I hope I dont, however I am using the term keyboard warriors which I do agree 100%.
who you seem to idolize.
I dont think I idolize anyone. I do respect (context of this thread) every single member of the DC chapter, Jim R and the Freepers and all the other active Freepers whom you have listed. And I do respect you and all that you have and are doing.
He did more to discourage activism than he ever did to encourage it.
That is not true. It is not about one or a group of people it is about our country and our way of life. If anyone was discouraged they would not be involved in the first place.
Those "keyboard warrious" as you call them maybe can't get out of the house or work because of family commitments
Don't discount the hordes of Patriotic Americans that support activism but cannot get to many events.
You think the epithet is referring to them? None of us can get out to all events. The keyboard warriors dont get out to any.
So if you have 10, and the other side has 20, be thankful.
You think I am not? As I said in another post on this thread. We we did successfully meet our main objective and mostly completed another objective. The other point that I did not mention is that anytime we counter (no matter how few) we dilute their message and encourage our side.
As far as all your "don't matter"'s, it's not so.
It sure doesnt to the keyboard warriors.
Many of them were within easy driving distance of Orange County, how many did you attend?
LOL, you have no inkling of what I have done, what recognition I have received by who nor for how long.
But to answer your question, one of the people that attended was the creator of Free Republic, and his wife and one of his sons.
I talked to at least a dozen, and there were many more.
The usual people and for them my respect.
If no other members show up, Stand tall and remember that one Patriot outnumbers thousands of America Hating Terrorist Supporting Moonbats, and be sure to post on your report of the event a hearty thanks for all those that support the troops by posting positive comments on FR. I am a bottom line person. I deal with facts and my interpretation of them. Having said that I will venture my opinion and prognosis.
We are in the end game. The left are losing (war issue) and they know it. They have been ineffectual in getting the numbers to support their efforts. We have effective countered them in almost all events. Yes, we includes Freepers, albeit the same ones. Barring any unforeseen catastrophic event the current activity by the left is due to two factors, the last hurrah effect and the election.
The left will become more hysterical with more dramatic events and violence.
My opinion based on observation, experience and some hard information.
No, I wasn't at all. From past experience and your posts here and the CA board, you've made it quite clear.
You are quite uninformed and strongly negatively opinionated
Sorry, but some people that would do something do get discouraged by statements like yours.
Yes, you are quite like Coop whose tagline (up until the time he stopped posting here) was: FR = a lotta talk, but little action
You've done the same thing and act like you know where and when FR people show up.
And just assumed no FR people were at Berleley
Pay attention.
BTW, the PGR's at Berkeley were proud to be involved and didn't shush those that aknowledged their affiliation with the rally and PGR.
You will be aware shortly I imagine what a PGR Captain is planning soon.
And you do a great job for the Troops and your input is invaluable.
You are a genuine Keyboard Warrior, and that's a good thing!
Thanks for your activism
There are a lot of people on this board that do what you do, and are put down with a broad brush by some bitter people.
Where exactly do you meet?
The meeting place is the inside of the circle. Just look for the bikers.
