"A More Perfect Union" Remarks of Senator Barack Obama Tuesday, March 18th, 2008 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

“We the people, in order to form a more perfect union.”

Two hundred and twenty one years ago, in a hall that still stands across the street, a group of men gathered and, with these simple words, launched America’s improbable experiment in democracy. Farmers and scholars; statesmen and patriots who had traveled across an ocean to escape tyranny and persecution finally made real their declaration of independence at a Philadelphia convention that lasted through the spring of 1787.

The document they produced was eventually signed but ultimately unfinished. It was stained by this nation’s original sin of slavery, a question that divided the colonies and brought the convention to a stalemate until the founders chose to allow the slave trade to continue for at least twenty more years, and to leave any final resolution to future generations.

Of course, the answer to the slavery question was already embedded within our Constitution – a Constitution that had at is very core the ideal of equal citizenship under the law; a Constitution that promised its people liberty, and justice, and a union that could be and should be perfected over time.

And yet words on a parchment would not be enough to deliver slaves from bondage, or provide men and women of every color and creed their full rights and obligations as citizens of the United States.

Denouncing slavery that does not involve whites enslaving non-whites or Christians enslaving non-Christians only elicits a ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

That is inherent paternal racism which is the foundation of liberalism and white guilt today.

Only whites have to be held to certain standards? Why? Are we more capable of controlling our behavior?

Only whites can fix that they allegedly wrought? Why? Again are whites more capable? Can minorities not fix themselves?

Please the Light Skinded Wright has more then one Caucasion in his heritage.. his self loathing is nothing more then guilt that he isn’t black enough... heck I wouldn’t be surprised if his blackness was a product of an African via some Euro trash college.... Talk about the struggle.... the hypocrisy of Obama to relate his black heritage to the struggle of slavery is INSANE... His father’s ancestry was never enslaved by Americans his father was from Kenya not born of a plantation in Atlanta.... Obama is closer to Farrakahn’s Islam then to real Christianity... There is a broader connection on that relationship and should be explored by the media..

So when they are told to bus their children to a school across town; when they hear that an African American is getting an advantage in landing a good job or a spot in a good college because of an injustice that they themselves never committed; when they’re told that their fears about crime in urban neighborhoods are somehow prejudiced, resentment builds over time.

Obama would only use his office to further inflame, validate and vindicate that which he obviously believes due to his 20 year love affair with Wright....and his friendship with Ayers and Dohrn and Casto and Chavez.......it goes on and on.

I think he is trying to prove himself to the daddy he never felt wanted him (understandable)by being the halfbreed savior of oppressed folks of color standing up to the power structure in the racist West and projecting that on all of us. Projection is the delivery mode for liberal neurosis of which he is eat up with.

Remember the old Indian movies where the halfbreed like Paul Newman stands up to the white villans? yet swoons the women and placates the Indians. Hondo.

UUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHH! I never expected to be told by this man, who is so obviously a con-artist: What WE NEED TO DO, HOW WE NEED TO REACT, and HOW WHAT WE HAVE DONE IS WRONG, and if WE continue with this racism, how America will suffer. Yes, he referred to the repeatedly shown film of Wright, (but hardly) and talked about the racial overtones of the result of Katrina (and pointed out how racism became the issue of discussion then)...and - instead of distancing himself from Wright (which was expected) he turned it all around and it became his diatribe about how America is wrong for such behavior! Typical behavior of a guilty person when he gets caught - blame your captors for something, cloud their vision, fog up the issue, and turn it all back on them.

There was nothing about the hatred the black minister and his ilk are spreading, He made no reference to them being wrong...only about America's reaction to their behavior.

I am so extremely disappointed (though never an Obama supporter anyway) that I can hardly say what I feel. It seems he took this opportunity to tell all of White America what is wrong with us! And he got applause. And pundits said he was "eloquent." Yes, like a forked-tongue devil. Oh my, this man is very, very dangerous.

Talk show hosts and conservative commentators built entire careers unmasking bogus claims of racism while dismissing legitimate discussions of racial injustice and inequality as mere political correctness or reverse racism.

Institutional, government-mandated and approved reverse racism that violates the Equal Protection Clause. If you're going to try to tell the truth Barack, you might as well tell the whole truth.
