The D.C. Chapter of FreeRepublic.com invites all Freepers and lurkers in good standing to join us on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, for an all day demonstration in support of our troops and their mission at the 14th and L St., NW, recruiting center in Washington, D.C.
This recruiting center is on the list of targets by anti-American protesters marking the fifth anniversary of the liberation of Iraq--a liberation they oppose to this day.
We will stand in front of the recruiting center to protect it from attack by the anti-American protesters.
Please wear an item of red, white and blue clothing.
Being that we will be there from early morning into the evening, please come for as long or short a period of time as you can.
As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Brifly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
Way to go, DC Chapter!!
I’ll come by at lunch!
Good luck guys. The moonbats are out.
Thanks, Jim!
See you then!
Looks like one block East and two blocks North of McPherson Square Station on the Blue or Orange line.

RongKirby was on top of things this afternoon. I just received this from him:
I made it over to Union Station. I froze (in unique position )among the anti-war left. Only I had my Resolve to Win shirt/hat and signs USA , Troops, Troops, Nothing but the Troops. When they started chanting End the War , I yelled with Victory. The press took pictures of the code pink and me standing beside them. Afterward, I was interviewed twice, I think by 9 and 7, but not sure. The first went real well. The second went OK for a minute then the guy heading up IVAW started yelling answers to the questions before I got a chance. I remained silent as they yelled, so in a sense they got the best of me and successfully disrupted my interview. The TV just cut off and did not interview any one else. The short of it is that their protest was disrupted."
On Sunday, RongKirby also did 16 miles from Fairfax to Lincoln Memorial with Mc Cool and RTW on Sunday. RongKirby is also a regular at Walter Reed.
He will also be at the recruiter station.
Kudos to RongKirby, a true patriot. After tomorrow he'll have Five FReeps in 6 days!!!

These rules do not preclude us from defending ourselves when attacked.
As I told Third District Detectives' Lt. Michael Farish a while back, because I cannot count on MPDC to do the right thing (uphold the law), if attacked again by anyone on DC's streets, I will defend myself. By whatever means necessary.
It warms my heart to hear that you rained on their parade today.
It only takes one brave soul to stand up to these pukes and ruin their "street theater" event. God Bless you for doing it!
