DEFINING CHARACTERISTICS: Charismatic, popular but polarizing leader.

POLITICAL CAREER: Wayne County prosecutor, 2004-present; judge, Wayne County Circuit Court, 1997-2003; judge, Detroit Recorder's Court, 1995-97.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER: Wayne County assistant prosecutor, 1986-93.

PARENTS: Clifford Worthy Jr., retired career military officer, and Lillian Worthy, librarian and stay-at-home mother.

PERSONAL: Single; daughter Anastasia.

DEFINING CHARACTERISTICS: Concise, confident but unassuming.

Notice how the AP leaves out that Kilpatrick is a superdelegate, and also the underlying theme that Kilpatrick is still married and that Worthy is not.

Anyway I don't see how DA Worthy can get a conviction in Wayne County, it will be OJ part deux.

Why won't this guy just GO AWAY. Oh wait - In his value system he's done nothing wrong and is entitled to cars, women, five star spas, junkets, etc. while his City crumbles. After all, he's a Dem.

Watching DA Worthy this morning, I couldn’t help but thinking she is “the real deal”. A clear, concise statement of facts, how they found those facts and what they were going to do with them. Even her illustration of all the aspects of Lady Justice was genuine - a statement of what she values and why she’s a lawyer - and not at all some kind of “political theatre”. She played each note and sang each word like a well-crafted straight-forward song as opposed to some orchestrated, over-produced show business act. I liked what I saw and hope she succeeds in locking this slug away.

He was reelected and the Feds are dragging their feet on any prosecution. Don't worry, the same fate awaits Kwame and that's why he won't resign. He can depend on the same constituency that reelected Jefferson to vote him another term.

No, a Wayne County Jury is far different than a Detroit Jury. I’ll bet that there will be few Detroit residents on the actual jury. BTW, his hatred level by Detroit residents seems to be quite high...right now.
