And remarkably high levels of Republican support for McCain. I guess the "we hate McCain" campaign has failed. Howard Dean's Operation Chaos fizzled.
But of course this will be a BIG Democrat year, right?
I mean 11% approval is a sure sign of a big Democrat year and the lowest consumer confidence numbers in 35 years natuarlly means voters want MORE not LESS Democrat government, right?
No one can when with the numbers Barack McGovern Obama and the beast are sitting on.
Our task now is to recognize the huge advantage we have, not listen to to wishful thinking of the ratmedia and get working to help elect a conservative backbone for McCain.
The bigger the numbers he is elected with the easier it will be for him to deal with a Democrat controled Congress. As it stands now, he wins big but we still don’t get back the House or Senate. We now have to work on that.
link?
McCain is the leading Democrat in this race.
The “typical white persons” prefer Hillary, it would seem.
Thanks for the headsup on the link. The last bit of the address didn’t copy. correct link
In some ways that is correct. Obama gained his popularity as being the alternative to Clinton, who Dems knew could not win. Likewise, McCain represents an alternative to many Dems who will not be able to pull the lever for their candidate.
“McCain represents an alternative to many Dems who will not be able to pull the lever for their candidate.”
I live in a very Dem area and have heard a high number of those I know say they will vote Republican (most adding “for the first time in my life”) simply because they cannot support the Dem candidate this year. I think this may turn out to be a substantial amount and it seems to be overlooked. What does this say about the Dem party? Not much.
McCain is the leading Democrat in this race.
I agree, but now its a choice between McCain the pseuto Republican or a the marxist racist or the just plain marxist
I am NOT sitting this one out I will hold my nose and vote McCain
One thing the media and lefties never get about Bush’s low approval ratings is that a lot of Conservatives rate him low because HE HAS NOT GONE MORE ON THE OFFENSIVE ON TERRORISM nor has he been as conservative as we would like him to be!
I am astonished that the liberal media interprets a low approval rating as automatically disapproving of everything the President is doing as somehow being to “conservative” and against the Nation’s wishes.
Thank you and the other 4 McCain bashers here for the vote!
McCain may be a “democrat” but at least he still supports our troops and our missions in Iraq and Afghanisan.
Most people still think the Republicans control Congress because GWB is in the White House. They were asleep at the switch with the 2006 elections. This low number is another way of sticking it to GWB. The people know very little about government. The average man on the street, for instance, couldn’t tell you who controls Congress or his state legislature. this is not something of interest to the American people as a whole. A lot of those saying they disapprove of Congress are still for their own friendly incumbent.
i am with you
i am voting for McCain and all Rs down the ballot
this crop of Dems scare the pants off me
Obama = 52% unfavorable. We need to elevate that number.
Actually, it’s the “I hate McCain, BUT . . . .” campaign. Always has been. There has never been an option to allow one of these nincompoop Dems to become president.
