Floor Fight, Here We Come (Hillary threatens DNC on Greta's show)
Powerline ^ | 3/27/2008

Posted on 03/27/2008 7:17:03 AM PDT by Uncledave

Last night, Greta van Susteren interviewed Hillary Clinton on Fox News. This was the most interesting exchange:

VAN SUSTEREN: And if he says, no, I won't do it, that leaves Michigan and Florida out. And does that leave you out?

CLINTON: No. Not at all, because we are going to make sure those votes get counted, one way or another.

VAN SUSTEREN: How?

CLINTON: Well, you know, you can always go to the convention. That is what credential fights are for. You know, let's have the Democratic Party go on record against seating the Michigan and Florida delegations three months before the general election? I don't think that will happen. I think they will be seated. So that is where we are headed if we don't get this worked out.

A credentials battle in Denver! Every Republican's dream! If Hillary is to be believed--always a big "if" where the Clintons are concerned--it may become a reality.

“Dhimmirat party destroyed.”

I hope all this fighting will have a positive effect on the Senate and House races. If we can get conservatives in, we will be able to stop McCain from going too far left.

She is going to STEAL it from Obama!!!

She is at least going to try. I do think that Hillary is vindictive enough that she won't care if she destroys the party in order to destroy Obama. This could get really good.

I think the odds of Al Gore or Joe Biden riding in as a white knight are increasing daily. Of course, by the time Hillary and Obama are finished, the nomination might not be worth having.

“I’m sitting this election out, but it’s fun to watch.”

Please vote the down ticket. we need to get conservatives in office at the lower levels.

Exactly.

Hillary is desperate - that is why she agreed to appear on FOX. This wimp was too scared to appear on any debate if it was on FOX. And she wants to be POTUS?

If Al Gore becomes the candidate, voters should feel disenfranchised no matter how much they like Gore. Having party elites choose the candidate when he wasn't voted on by the people is sooo.....Democrat.

How it affects their FAMILY is none of our business

Wrong

1. She ain't running for dogcatcher

2. She was asked if it affected Hillary's credibility --blaming it on a Vast Right wing Conspiracy

No one is as elitist as Hussein-Obama, who is smug, contemptuous, and so precious he won’t even “allow” Fox News to interview him. Hillary is scrappy and contentious, often voted with Bush. Barak has a lot of negative energy, seems passive-aggressive, a much more dangerous personality type, less trustworthy, more self-centered. He’d be a disaster for the country.

As for delegates, check the count. No matter what happens in the next several primaries, neither Hussein nor Clinton will have the requisite 2024 votes without Superdelegates being counted. The popular vote is very close. And if Michigan and Florida are counted, as they will be eventually, the margin is extremely slim. There’s no clear winner, so a floor fight will probably be the only way to resolve the nomination.

Oh, in that case I agree. Chelsea is an adult now and on the campaign path — she’s fair game for campaign-appropriate questioning.

That's why say to just seat the delegations as unpledged super-delegates and let the campaigns fight over them at the convention.

I agree...he scares me to death. Rush just played the clips of Barry yesterday on the trail...he was spinning and stammering and stuttering. RUSH: Nice try, Barack...blaming US for his pastor.

The question was not how the affair affected the family but whether The Lewinsky affair affected her Mother’s credibility since she (Hilary) blamed it all on a vast right wing conspiracy. I feel it was a legitimate question. It was just directed at the wrong Clinton.

If the speculation is true that Black Dems will sit out if Hillary is the pick and Southern White Dems (and maybe some Women Dems) will sit out if Obama is picked, imagine what could happen if both are replaced with a Good-Old-Boy White Male (tm)...

If we get conservatives (not Republicans) in Congress, yes.

Otherwise, we’ll see the country slide, McCain style, further left, with Congress aiding and abetting.

You missed my point. I don't care if an elitist is elected. The people can elect whoever they want. I care when self-appointed elitist connive to trump the votes of the people. Dems are famous for talking the "one man one vote" stuff - then turning around and putting themselves in positions to trump the vote of the people. Every person in Florida, Georgia, Vermont, New Mexico, Indiana, Kansas, Idaho, and New Hampshire can have their votes negated by the elites of the Democrat party. That's how powerful the "elitist insiders" are in the Democrat party. I have no idea why they even bother to have elections - guess it's window dressing. Or a way to pull the wool over the eyes of everyday dems. If the "not so super superdelegates trump the will of the people, there'll be problems. Unintended consequences - bad ones.

I’m focusing on state and local issues because it’s the only area that my vote matters.

I was hoping that McCain would pick a conservative running mate as well, that is until McCain gave that speech yesterday.

That’s great. We need to start at the bottom and build up.

I’m mixed on that one. Imagine you are a Jew and you get to pick between two leaders: Stalin and Hitler.

Which would be worst?

It is just as difficult for me with Obama and Hillary. But one difference is the scorched earth thing. It seems to be a Clinton trademark. That is, If Obama wins I put responsibility squarely on the voters. If Hillary wins, I will believe it was through rampant bullying and fraud.

And then there are those FBI files, which are growing stale.
