It's hard not to wonder if Obama really is a closet Muslim.

It's pretty foolish to make a big issue out of this, since we should accept his self-identification as a Christian. Like many other Christians (as well as many Jews and others), though, we can safely assume that Obama either doesn't understand or willfully neglects the dangers of Islamic fascism to Western civilization. That's the basic reason he is unacceptable as a candidate for the highest office of the United States.

I have a masters degree in physics and I believe he is a Muslim. Muslims lie. The Koran teaches them to lie to the infidel.

His grandfather changed his name to an arabic name when he adopted Islam. Why won't Barack Hussein Obama change his name to a Christianized name, now that he adopted Christianity?

Good point. And not in Hawaii, where his aged grandmother—the one who raised him from the age of ten—lives. Obama, after 20 years of exposure to Wright, has concluded that his maternal grandmother is a racist, a “typical white person.” She spent her Easter alone. Michelle is uncomfortable around white people anyway: said so in her Princeton thesis. And the kids, well they've been brought up in Wright’s Church and would fear that great grandma would try to infect them with AIDS or force them to take crack or heroin.

On February 27th, 2007, Barack Hussein Obama said the Muslim call to prayer is "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth."

In an interview with Nicholas Kristof, published in The New York Times, Obama recited the Muslim call to prayer, the Adhan, "with a first-class [Arabic] accent."

The opening lines of the Adhan (Azaan) is the  Shahada:

"Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet... "

According to Islamic scholars, reciting the Shahada, the Muslim declaration of faith, makes one a Muslim.  This simple yet profound statement expresses a Muslim's complete acceptance of, and total commitment to, the message of Islam.

Obama knows this from his Quranic studies -- and he knows the New York Times will publish this fact and it will be seen throughout the Islamic world.

Regardless of Obama's religion, what message is he sending the world's 1.2 billion Muslims?
