ReviveTube allows you to watch and download YouTube videos that have been deleted or removed by user. Note this tool can't revive every video, but it can handle most.

May be of interest.
The site also makes it easy to download the deleted video to your computer.
Yes, we need to revive the 2007 Trumpet Gala honoring Louis Farrakhan which disappeared very quickly in the wake of the Jeremiah Wright scandal.

thank you
I think it needs to be a fairly recent deletion...
I tried the site with a recently deleted vid and it played it.
Hobo with a Shotgun. greatest fake trailer ever.
It appears that this site also lets you watch vids that youtube has banned from playing in the US.
i.e. Youtube has banned the original rickroll video from the US.. this link will not play it simply says it has been banned

But if you put that link into revivetube it plays.
When I see a youtube video I want to save, I immediately download it. There are some tools on the web that make this relatively painless.
It’s still listed on Google but it’s still gone

YouTube also removed that video I posted of Hillary shooting Vince Foster.
ouch!
Ping
This is great.
Say there!
A looooooooong time ago, someone had a thread up regarding the ability to download movies from You Tube, etc.....Current ones....
Does anyone have that bookmarked?

How do you save a youtube video? Seems like all my favorite rock videos have been deleted.
I had posted the link to the Achievment award video and now it’s gone. That’s too bad because I liked the Cannonball Adderley version of Mercy Mercy. Joe Zawinul wasn’t too bad on that either.
If anyone can find this video, please let me know. I find it strange that things of this importance can just disappear. Gone - poof - strange.
They are coming to get me - I can hear their footsteps...
aaaaaahhhhhhrrrrrr.....
sounds of a struggle...
They stepped on my saxophone..
then silence.
I got one by going to www.download.com
Saved a huge amount of clips using that, mostly of TV shows to keep me sane in such insane times.

How to save youtube videos (and upload them elsewhere)
Most appreciated feature... thanks for that info..
“YouTube also removed that video I posted of Hillary shooting Vince Foster.”
LOL! I knew I missed that somewhere along the way!!

A good tool to fight the fascist mind-control practiced by the left and the jihadis.
There are much easier ways that allow you to save it to a filename and directory you specify as it downloads. No need to log off and go hunting your hard drive for it. Like I said, there are various applications available that do this automatically. Much, much quicker than a HD search.
Correct, it has to be recent, before it gets taken out of youtube cache. The other problem is that youtube uses more than one server to put these videos on. Therefore the servers have different names. I tried real hard to find that Kwame Kilpatrick video but couldn’t get it or any of the other ones. I just lucky in getting the Farrakhan one. From now if I find a video I think might get taken down I go to.....
And save it to my hard disk.
You are of course, correct ... unless your computers are behind a firewall controlled by a totally anal network communications person who knows that his/her job is forfeit if a virus hits the LAN. In this scenario, alternative methods are viable.
Because of the proliferation of computer virus programs, it is becoming difficult to send/recive anything but a plain-text e-mail. Any communication with an attachment is quarantined, sometimes without regard to the type or content. At the rate that e-mail lockdowns are happening, I forsee the return to snail-mail as the preferred method of casual information exchange.
... makes one wonder if the USPS might be in the virus business ... /sarc
The best video downloaders I’ve seen are Firefox extensions. Load Firefox, get new extensions, and search for “video.” There are a couple available. You get an icon in your task bar that lets you download any video found on the page.
When Youtube deletes a video from public view, no later than 24 hours the file on the YouTube servers will be permanently deleted.
Also, if Freepers find a good clip they fear will be deleted, I suggest that they use the firefox browser, greasemonkey add-on, and a ‘youtube download video’ greasemonkey script.
Thanks!
If youtube is blocked at your place of work, then that means the issue of saving videos from that site is irrelevant. You can’t even see them in the first place! Why did you even click on the topic?
Actually, the quickest way to do it is through Real Player. Get the latest Real Player, and when you find a video that you want to keep, simply place your mouse/cursor at the top of the video, and a “download this clip” box will pop up. Very simple.
See my post #31.
Err . . . make that post #37.
