Student Sues 'Anti-Christian' Teacher Over Remarks in Class
Fox News ^ | 4/02/2008 | Anita Vogel

A student and his family have filed a federal lawsuit demanding that a popular European history teacher at California's Capistrano Valley High School be fired for what they say were anti-Christian remarks he made in the classroom.

Chad Farnan, a 16-year-old sophomore, says the teacher, James Corbett, told his students that “Jesus glasses” obscure the truth and suggested that Christians are more likely than other people to commit rape and murder.

Farnan recorded his teacher telling students in class: “What country has the highest murder rate? The South! What part of the country has the highest rape rate? The South! What part of the country has the highest rate of church attendance? The South!” Farnan said he took the tape recorder to class to supplement his class notes.

“It was very hard for me because it’s like basically telling me all this stuff that I’ve believed my whole entire life — it’s just basically trying to throw it out the window,” Farnan told FOX News.

Christians are the only safe group to bash. Well and whites.

ANY other race, ANY other religion and we’d see news trucks on this guy’s front yard until he either resigned or knocked himself off.

I just love it when people say there’s no such thing as Christian persecution in this country!

I imagine there’s some stats out there supporting the premise that the more money is sunk into public screwels, the worse they perform.

Liberalism is a dangerous disease.

Many students by the time they are in high school are ready for these type of conflicts. They might not have much influence on the teachers, none of them listened to me, but I can name the other students that life's were change because the Christians in my high school were there. While there is a greater challenge today it also means the need is greater.

James Corbett... OWNED!

Guess he's a graduate (with honors) of Ward Churchill's "school" of thought.

What a slacker. He could have pinned global warming on the Christians too. After all, what part of the country has the hottest weather? The South!

He also forgot Kudzu.

I would bet that California has more rapes and murders than the entire “south” (excluding Florida).
***************************************************
As a longtime Floridian I can assure you that we are farther “North” than Alabama, the Carolinas , Tenn. , GA. or Mississippi in every measurable aspect except latitude.

(and a great deal of our crime is either in urban dumps like Miami or can be traced to Puerto Rico buying their convicted drug dealers tickets to here when released)

If this kid was home schooled, would any of this classmates know the truth? This story is why some kids need to stay in public schools.

So?...Would you feed children to the fires of Molok in an effort to put out the flames?

At the rate new reasons to homeschool appear, we could just about support a blog site devoted to that topic alone.

No matter how many stories are posted, the government school defenders are convinced that their child's school is different.

Hmmm? Who's commiting the majority of the rapes and murders in the south or anywhere? If forced to answer Farnan would do a tap dance that would put Ann Miller to shame.

Unfortunately, the best predictor of crime rates is the proportion of the population that is black. But the teacher would never, never, never go there.

There you go again with those "fact" things. Try not to use them in the future, 'kay? But more specifically, it is areas of large liberal cities that contain large populations of blacks or illegal aliens.

Here is the idiot teacher’s email, jrcorbett@capousd.org

Here is the principal’s; tressler@capousd.org

If you want him to read any part of your email, try to avoid name calling and such.

Likely one of the best predictors of crime rates is the number of bastard children. Unfortunately whites are catching up with blacks, so I expect to see the same pathology in the white culture as well.

True.

I live in Sarasota and that’s pretty much the reason I excluded Florida.

It is true that not all public schools are alike. Not all of them are the poorly run cesspools that we speak of. In fact, a few of them are almost good.

All government schools ( even the almost “good” ones) teach all their subjects from an atheistic, materialistic, relativist, Secular Humanist worldview.

That can never be “good”.

The term “almost good” wasn’t meant as a compliment, especially given the money we spend on those places. I should have included a sarcasm alert.

So calling him a namby-pamby Stalinist sockcucker is out.
