Bob Barr helped the RINOs in Iowa by endorsing and actively campaigning for uber-RINO Greg Ganske againt one of the best young conservative candidates I’ve ever seen, Bill Salier, in the 02 Senatorial primary. Never trusted him since.

Why any conservative would even consider supporting a RINO-loving, ACLU-supporting Liberaltarian is beyond me.

Did you hear him on with Hannity today?

He doesn’t agree with the ACLU on 99.8% of the issues. Only one...privacy rights for Americans. Two legal briefs out of 6,786,098 that the ACLU has advocated.

Sure the leftist ACLU loons are retarded, but there has to be one thing that you agreed with them on.

I LIKE IT!

If for no other reason, this will give conservatives a vote in this election, AND force McCain to move back to the conservative base for support!

He has no chance of being elected though!

I agree with Hugo Chavez that it's good to breath air. Doesn't mean I would work for him.

I hear you.

Jeffrey Dahmer was a snazzy dresser.

Doesn’t mean that we should all run out and buy a copy of GQ.

John McCain will be the 44th President of America.

Without Conservative or Libertarian votes. I'm going to bookmark this as an "I told you so, nanny, nanny, billygoats" for posterity to throw back in people's faces come December. I won't be happy about it but...

The American Sheeple may be a lot of things...spoiled, lazy, preoccupied, superficial....but they do usually get it right...

They will not vote for an America hating leftist like Obama with no experience in these troubled times.

It has nothing to do with whether he is orange, green, purple, or levendar with pink poke a dots. There are people out there who won't vote for a Black man as POTUS, but their 1% won't make a difference.

I was born in Africa and I'm darker than Whitney Houston...that makes me more African American than he is...and I won't vote for him because he is an America hating left wing Socialist.

Sure 6,000 folks are upset they were layed off and beaten by cops...they are not THAT UPSET.

“Now McCain and all the liberal Republicans will have somebody to blame besides conservatives...”

I wouldn’t count on that. If McCain wins, moderates, independents and Dem crossover voters (i.e. liberals) will get the credit and McCain will govern to please them. If McCain loses, conservatives will be blamed for not sucking it up. Either way, conservatives lose.

Exactly. So why should I spend one minute supporting the man. I lose either way.

McCain is willing to bomb Muslim Supremacists.

Bob Barr wants to be friends with them.

This is a very easy choice for me.

Conservatism wins. It’s worked every time. It leaves NE elitists and CA illuminati scratching their heads.

Bush won....TWICE. They are furious.

They don’t understand what is taking so long for flyover country to get with the European program.

This John Wayne type of rugged individualism has to give way to Socialism and collectivism eventually.

That’s true, but when McCain loses, he and the liberal Republicans will be able to blame not only conservatives, but also libertarians, whom they believe OWE the Republican nominee their votes regardless of how little he has to offer anybody but liberal Republicans and moderate Democrats (Socialist Lites,) a group not nearly large enough to elect anyone to the presidency, or for that matter, maintain a viable party. So much for that Republican “Big Tent.”

"Barr lost the primary to Linder."

Didn't he then move to the neighboring district and run again, maybe only in the primary, and get beat again? If not, he was considering it. Can't recall for certain. Used to hear him and about him on Quinn, but he dropped off the radar for obvious reasons once he hooked up with the ACLU.

Probably not...but it would explain a lot.

Yep, to quote Rush, “Conservatism works every time it’s tried.”

Except for some strange reason the Republican party has, for all intents and purposes, abandoned conservatism in favor of pleasing the middle and moderate left. That may work this time because of who’s running on the Dem side, but it’s not a winning strategy for the long run.

Bob Barr must have a worm in his brain that loosened several screws.

When I compare his speeches in ‘98 with those after he left congress I can only think he is inflicted.

To run for president is evidence of his mental digression.
