What does it take to get Reuters to defend the brutal slaughter of a rare endangered animal for superstitious reasons?

Simple: the killers just need to be Palestinians.

What does it take to get Reuters to defend the brutal slaughter of a rare endangered animal for superstitious reasons?

Is this a trick question?

Simple: the killers just need to be Palestinians.

On the contrary. All that's required is that they hate Americans like the Devil hates Holy Water.

Reminds me of when the Taliban destroyed the Buddhist statues in Afghanistan, you know because Islam is so tolerant:

The rare giant sea turtle caught on a beach near Gaza City was slaughtered and eaten by Palestinian fishermen who said its blood was an aphrodisiac, among other therapeutic qualities. A Reuters cameraman said the fishermen collected the giant turtle's blood and gave it to children

Sick on a number of levels.

If I went out tomorrow and shot an alligator in the bayou not far from my house, and claimed that I wanted it for an aphrodisiac, do you think Reuters would put me on the news as a good guy?

They’d probably interview someone from PETA who would call me a “terrorist.” Of course, Reuters would edit that out and call me a “dissident,” since they cannot type the word “terrorist” on their keyboards.

The mushbrained reuters “journalist” reported with a straight face that the turtle blood was given to children for breathing problems and to old people with back problems.

Can you imagine if a Christian group had done this and made these claims?

Shoot, shovel, and shut up.

This applies to reuters reporters in addition to critters that taste good or think we taste good.

Are you a "Typical White Person"?

If not, you can always blame President Bush for causing Hurricane Katrina.

Didn’t Al Reuters have a journalist send a death threat to LGF from within the Reuters offices? Isn’t that what the logged ISP showed?

Leftists will ALWAYS side with that which is anti-American, anti-Western, or anti-traditional.

It stems from their requirement that there be no judgements for behaviors or cultures. Since different outcomes imply “judgement” of value of the behavior and culture, they MUST point to some other factor, such as the successful oppressing the unsuccessful.

They will then side with the “oppressed” over the “oppressor”.

It’s convoluted, but the thought processes of liberals are as screwed up as a pile of hangers.

What is the objection here? Children need to breath, that is a fact. We all know the evil drug companies are keeping turtles blood from us so they can sell their expensive drugs.

I bet none of you would be so eager to criticize if it was your child who was wheezing during the puppet show or was too winded to jockey for the best positions at the next car swarm. I mean, what is even the point of blowing yourself up if you are too out of breath to shout, “aloha snackbar”, just before you blast yourself to your 72 raisins? How insensitive, you folks need sensitivity training.

I believe the point is the utter hypocrisy with which Reuters reports the turtle slaughter. If a Westerner had done such a thing, the DBM would have lynched them on the spot.
