Over the last five weeks, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York has featured in her campaign stump speeches the story of a health care horror: an uninsured pregnant woman who lost her baby and died herself after being denied care by an Ohio hospital because she could not come up with a $100 fee.
The woman, Trina Bachtel, did die last August, two weeks after her baby boy was stillborn at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, Ohio. But hospital administrators said Friday that Ms. Bachtel was under the care of an obstetrics practice affiliated with the hospital, that she was never refused treatment and that she was, in fact, insured.
“We implore the Clinton campaign to immediately desist from repeating this story,” said Rick Castrop, chief executive officer of the O’Bleness Health System.

I don’t get what the big deal is? We’ve all seen these kinds of lies for years. Time after time these two just keep on lying and the zombies keep following and adoring them. It seem so many DBM/dems have this FOS syndrome they’ve excepted it like a badge to wear as part of their character.
If this were already the general election campaign we would see that Demagogues do not need their fantasies to be true, they just need the gullible and supine media to lap them up.
However, since it is to Obambi’s urgent advantage to have this story discredited, we may see more media actually take on Shrillary over it. Time for these Clintonista grifters to be run out of town, MSM! Bill the “lovable rogue” is not the candidate and Shrillary is too tired, stale, nasty, and yes, shrill, to be worth salvaging as a candidate. Time to boot her off the stage and let Obambi keep the spotlight.

They are going to keep this up until everyone thinks lying is good thing, after all, everyone does it.
No, because telling people that they are getting shafted by ‘big business’, hospitals, doctors, big oil, racists, ‘angry white males’, the ‘good-old-boy network’, the ‘military-industrial complex’, Walmart etc. etc. is what they run on. They appeal to anger and resentment in the electorate and try to ride that to personal power. They tend to run as ‘saviors’, a role that very much appeals to narcissistic politicians.

The casual way this woman lies, the public shrugging at her lies, the willingness to make up things to advance a cause for her is just breathtaking. Amazing woman. And to take a dead woman, to lie about her death for a political point, is just, well, there is no word for it.

By the Clinton campaign's own admission, they "were not able to fully vet" the story. Yet they used it anyway...because, as the original peddler of the urban legend (the deputy) explained, "she liked the story."
Normal people who are unable to confirm the truth of a rumor--which is what this was--reach the conclusion it's FALSE, and stay the hell away from it. Even if one were to for one second believe they actually did try to verify the story, the fact that Hillary's vetting process didn't even include contacting the hospital or the woman's family makes her less qualified to assess intelligence materials than the editors of Snopes.
