Thank you, Mama Bear.
I just clicked view source and saved mine..when I discovered the misrouting...in case it disappeared. I have my profile showing..It is the edit feature that won’t work.
Now I need to see about the mail function...I hate change!

I’ll be happy when the kinks are worked out.

It's John's fault!

Har, not Bush's fault this time

I must have missed them, I do think I saw one of them

At the time I was assisting Dr. Zoo with a client who had Restless Ear Syndrom.

Sometimes I have to work on the top floor of the IOP towers, and it's too high above the cell towers to see your pings.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

It looks like the spell check is working, and here I went and hired a Spell Chick. Now I will have to fire her.

"If you want to save your html code, go to "view source" (or right click on your profile page to get the "view source" option) and then save it to a .txt file."

Thanks, I just did that.

LOL. Well, as long as you're not mad at me, all is well. ;-)

SO DO I! Glad you got your page saved. It's a good idea to have a current copy saved, you never know what might happen. It would take a long time to put our pages back together again from scratch.

Deleating freepmail is a breeze now vs a task......my fault for not doing housekeeping but the FR servers gained a few TB’s of free space when I cleaned out my 10 years of Freep Mail .....:o)

I really liked being able to scroll down and read the comments that I’ve made and that have been made to me

I can do that, but they are in a format that is, at best, hard to read. Can't tell at a glance whether a post is FROM me or TO me.

Please put it back the way it was. It was practically perfect!

Thank you for the tip!

I really like Firefox and have used it for years, but there is some much more that it can do.

Well all’s well then...

I think all these changes are fun!

People get all excited because a change is in transition, and they post semi-hysterical cries of despair, and then in a few hours FR is better than ever.

I remember a few weeks ago when some changes were implemented and the same thing happened.

Then there was a thread where most of those people were thanking John for the neat upgrades.

He has a plan for the FR mail issues that will make it very manageable IIRC.

I can just see him now, cruizing down the road in his old jalopy, with Dionne Warwick in the CD player and him singing along with her “Do you know the way to San Jose...”

Beautiful page.

I am glad that you and ThePythonicCow could fix it.

If the ‘clear all new pings’ choice were to include the option to

Clear All New Pings AND Show All Pings

in one click that would be cool. As it is now, it’s a bit of a nuisance.

But the slightly larger font for the pings column is an improvement.

When changes like this come up, it’s always difficult to find a thread about it if you don’t happen to be on when the discussion is hot. So, threads pop up all over asking about the changes. I propose either linking a thread like this at the top of the main page, or maybe having a standardized thread title so a search can be done when changes are noticed. I don’t know what it would be, because I tried searching on “free republic” to find this thread again, and it pulls up everything, I think. Maybe “forum changes”?

If we clear all our pings, will we erase our own bookmarks?
