BUTTE, Mont. -- Barack Obama wants to make something clear: He loves America.
After a series of incidents that prompted questions about his patriotism, the Democratic presidential candidate is peppering speeches with explicit statements on his love of country.
"I love this country not because it's perfect but because we've always been able to move it closer to perfection," he told an audience in North Dakota.
And in Montana: "It's a country where ... I've seen ordinary Americans find justice, where I've seen progress made for working families who need leaders who are willing to stand up and fight for them. That is the country I love."
Obama also stirs crowds into a frenzy of cheering and clapping when he talks about treating military veterans with respect, of giving them the best possible equipment, of providing top-notch health care for the wounded.
"They have earned our respect," the Illinois senator exclaims.
Such patriotic statements could be an effort to reassure voters wondering about whether he truly loves the country.
First came questions about why he doesn't wear a flag lapel pin. Obama said he thinks true patriotism is demonstrated by a person's actions, not his lapel.

He is a friend to Ayers, a known Weather Underground terrorist, who was not indicted because of FBI misconduct. He campaigns for an Islamic extremist. He attends a church that supports Islamic extremists, Mid-East terrorists, and socialism. There is so much grist for the talking heads, but they are silent. Now we know they are, as a group, both lazy and stupid, but something else is at work here. It is not so much that the msm likes terrorism (they are enamered about socialism, however), it is that they are afraid of being tagged as anti-Black and anti-Muslim. In the hierarchy of msm evils, these things are over all.

Compare:
“I love my children not because they’re perfect but because they’ve always been able to move closer to perfection,”
or
“I love my wife not because she’s perfect but because she’s always been able to move it closer to perfection,”
That doesn’t sound like “love” to me.
Obama only “loves” his country dependent upon some leftist template.

Just thought it was interesting (and great) that 69% of the people who took the poll rightfully question his patriotism. Scary that 31% don’t, or just don’t care because they agree with his “hatriotism.”
I'm sure for ever one you've enumerated there are 2 or 3 more to come forward.
